Are you talking about Global Stable 10.0.6.0?
Did you have touch lag issues before?
Also, when you mention no touch lag, are you using full screen or with nav bar?
*
Nope, I'm on the EU firmwares, weekly builds. I don't like the global stable/official firmwares. Too bloated with unnecessary apps.

I'm still not used to full screen gestures or navigation bar, I'm still relying on the buttons. Yes no touch lag on PUBG or MoBA

I tried the gestures and i am not loving it.
for now using nav-bar while waiting they 'fic' the gestures
*
Well is a sort of a hate and love relationship. Either you like using or hate using the gesture. But generally is being accepted by many people and everyone is actually praising Android for this gesture function. Because of the bezel-less screen, the hardkeys are slowly becoming obsolete in the future.

But I doubt Android would remove on screen buttons. Because there will be people who still use it,

Dumb question . How to flash to eu rom? Need unlock bootloader?
*
Yes, first thing is to quickly apply for the unlock authorization. Or if you have an account associated with a number which previously had unlocked bootloader, just sign into it, no need to wait for 72 hours.

MIUI.eu fanz, new weekly OTA is available:

[attachmentid=10126079]

Awesome, going to update it now, hopefully no battery drain. This weekly build still have some bugs, the themes some of them are not working well, some disoriented, some modified your whatsapp colour, and one was even worse, can't do scroll screenshot as the button is bugged out by translucent background, very hard for your eyes to notice it. In the end, back to stock MIUI POCO theme. But I'm kinda eager to test out Android Pie material design.

EDIT: Uc Browser still no luck, I'm guessing this is Xiaomi firmware fault not the EU fault. Unfortunately, I wouldn't want to risk relocking the phone just to be on official weekly builds. Screw it.

QUOTE(freddy manson @ Dec 1 2018, 09:26 AM)
what is "facebook cleaner" and what does it function as?
*
Apparently is a new cleaner incorporated by MIUI, because prolong use of FB causes data to build up in the app, sort of like clear data or cache options, except is clears up all the images, gif, or whatever not without you need to relog in to fb again.

It is better still to try it out on your friend who acualllty updated beyond 8.11.27,the touch is best fixed beyond that ver

Aslo FrancoKernel just got released, for those who are fan of his.
*
How is franco kernel?? Ok? I tried out Sphinx Kernel, ended up with no WiFi, laggy graphics on Mobile Legend, and lower Antutu scores, and that wasn't even meddling with any of the settings yet. Regretted and straight away reflashed back stock kernel. Which I find still is suitable for daily driver.

still have to.because it will detect new device. so u have to bind the acc to the "new" device and wait 7hrs before u can unlock the bootloader

*
Strange, when I bought my Pocophone on first day, I didn't have to wait at all. But I was previously using Redmi Note 4 unlocked account to log on to Pocophone.

i never actually go and explore miui's security app and those bundled apps
pretty nifty apps, good for those who wana do tweaks with built in apps ya?

hahaha since my time with redmi note3 pro 4 years ago, never knew these apps exists. never notice it or even bother to open ha3
*
You should, very straightforward and no ads or what so ever like Clean Master. and the newest version has Whatsapp cleaner & Facebook cleaner. Very innovative. I don't think most mobile OS incorporate such apps into their system, usually you got to rely on 3rd party apps and is full of ads and junks.

Recently Clean Master was reported worldwide filled with adwares and malwares.

unlock phone and test it out with custom ROM. That's the only way to go. This is also one of the advantages of this phone, shorter unlock waiting time and no Anti Roll-Back protection.

You don't have to root, but of course rooting provides even more customizing options.

Roll back to .15 or upgrade to .29
*
Roll back to .23 at first, but the Mi Cloud backup crashed. So I got frustated, backup all my files and apps manually and reflashed .29 again, no more spike lags while gaming, connection all back to normal, Mi Cloud back as per normal.

Method, clean flash, wipe data, cache and dalvik.

Lesson learnt, always do clean flash when upgrading version. Better results and more safer.

I see..will try out different launchers then. But previously I was still on stock, Poco launcher.

Xiaomi MIUI is seriously fun, the more you use, the more bugs you will discover.

hi guys, i made up my mind to get Pocophone as my new replacement for my Redmi note 3. by default is it good enuf? or require flash rom to improve its performance?
FYI: im quite heavy gamer.
*
Yes. You should, quick charge 3.0 is going to help you a lot since you game alot, a typical 1 hour charge can last you up to 5hours or more of non-stop gaming. I've tried from 100% to 20% with Moba, for at least 5hours without stop.

If you don't mind the notch issue, just stay on global stable roms. But if you intend for more customizing please go for the weekly builds, which addresses a lot of the multi-touch,ghosting, notch and stuffs.

But no matter what it is, flashing rom opens more customizing possibilities depending on your usage.

Do you guys put tempered glass to back-camera? does it affect the picture quality?
*
I did, but it wasn't really a tempered glass, well I can't complain since the price for it was less than RM10. and no, I don't think it will affect the camera picture quality.

By the way, any good recommendations for a microSD card for this 12.12 sales??? Worried getting fake sdcards which does not perform, am looking at 64gb sizes.

Yes I saw this as well.. Quite good pricing. Was wondering if the write speed is good enough for storage. Was actually planning to get a Samsung evos, but that would set me back at rm45++

Guys, if you want to update ASAP, I suggest you to unlock the bootloader and start using TWRP for flashing or the stock MiFlash,MiTool.

There's a lot of guides over at the official Miui forums on how to flash to the current latest roms.

and yes, there are hiccups over the new rom, but bear in mind this is still a recently launched product, which I think will need sometime to iron out all the issues.

As for me, I'm running on the latest 8.12.7 EU rom, so far so good, there is the 960fps slow-mo, night mode, but I'm not a camera guy lately, so wouldn't dare to comment about the photo quality wise.

So far so good, no issue under this rom. Except for the Wechat Pay thingy, still can't use the top up function.

Are there people who feel they had a better experience on the default miui 9 that came with a new pocophone? Except for the touch lag.

With the latest pie update, while playing pubg when making slight aim adjustments, it wouldn't register which had never happened to me before. Not to mention even on a s845 proc, I've never felt my game was as smooth as on note 9 or my friends one plus 5t, both devices on same settings.

Even fingerprint unlock feels slow now while it was almost instant previously.
