If wanna be certain, can just go to Service Centre to diagnose... Just need to spend time, petrol, parking & toll...
*
Can they fix it on the spot??? Because I just ordered for the part, though it wasn't much, but I worry it might not be the usb port.

Also I did the test, it shows im charging via USB_DCP only

If parts available, they fix it within 3 hours or so... You can call them before go there to confirm parts and quotations...

List of Xiaomi Service Centers

Last time I went to Armcorp Mall Service Centre to fix the Mi A1 screen (still under warranty due to "shadowed" screen) ... Luckily not many people and they fixed it within 4 hours....

As for the test, I dunno what is the definition for its results...

Just gave them a call, can do. Heading there now. Cheaper also.

1.2k? Uhh I don't think a spare mobo costs more than the phone itself

What drug they're sniffing ? Brand new 64GB cost less than that, that's even before promo  laugh.gif

That's the thing, they said is 70% of the retail price.

QUOTE(azhar75 @ Nov 7 2019, 05:37 PM)
Try call other Service Centre(s) for different quotations on the mobo... If all of them quoted the same, tough luck then...
Just sell that F1 for a brand new phone... Or just live with it while looking for replacement...maybe one day, the fast charge will be recovered by itself...
*
It won't.. Some chips in the mother board is acting up, also the charging port and, cable all is fine.

EDIT:called up xiaomi lowyat.. Same answer... 1290 for one piece of mobo. Hahahha.

Oh well, from what I can see, they purposely put the mobo replacement to be at par with SRP is to ensure ppl buy a new F1 to clear their old stocks...

It's time to hunt for a new device...

Really ridiculous

true

its too expensive for a mobo exchange
either use it like normal and charge slowly
or sell it off to anyone and get new phone
*
Nobody would want it. Also, I like this phone very much ever since it was announced. If I wanted to let it go, would've trade in for a newer K20 pro premium.

Try replace the charging port 1st...
Sometimes they just wanna potong you.

I actually did visited a shop and the owner actually tried replacing the phone charging port with a new one. Still the same.

The most headache part is, my warranty expire while I was in overseas. I'll try to walk in and talk nicely with them. Hopefully they will understand.

funny thing, the other day I tried out one of the USB-C to USB-C charger at one of the phone accessories shop, and charge turbo showed up.

now I'm wondering is it really either a hardware or software problem. also fastboot mode is not able to be detected by my pc as well anymore.

and with more confusion about motherboard mentioned by service center.. i think i need to show them what Im facing right now. i dont think mother board problems will be as bad as this.

Then, just buy that Type C-to-Type C "set" loh... Can be much cheaper during 11.11 Sales...

I don't use the stock charger and cable right from the 1st day... No harm so far... Currently using the Baseus BS-EN907 45 Watt charger with 100 Watt dual-Type-C cable...
*
but usb fasboot mode not detected by pc. I can't root anymore. because i hard reset and flashed back to stock global

Try at different Ports or PCs or even cables... I believe you edy know the pre-measure steps before executing ADB commands...

Tried with all the cables, ports that my computer has.. the device is not even showing up on the usb tree list.

If the rumour is true, poco f2 should be released around the end of November. Spigen accidentally leaked out the phone casing for f2.

Please let it be true, gonna trade in the f1 for it.

Wow, with sd865? Any info?
Luckily I haven't buy Rog 2 yet. Was really tempted but manage to hold myself...

Is just a rumor or accidentally, wrongly leaked info.

Realme X2 pro is launching in India on Nov 22,so my suggestion is to wait and see for now. Hold off any of your purchase until January 2020 or Dec. Let's see what Xiaomi is going to fire back.

Because as I know, RX2pro is almost the same range as K20 pro. Unless Xiaomi wants to really capture the indian market again,it is highly likely they want to do a comeback to shock the market as how Poco F1 did.

Even if F2 emerged, it won't be cheap anymore... For sure Xiaomi won't make the same "mistake" like the F1 by introducing "non-profit" sales figures....

Hypothesis :
6GB/128GB UFS3.0 = RM1,899
*
Not a problem, will still buy despite my f1 no quick charge.hahaha
