If I terminate my contract now and switch to Maxis,

Usually TM has your router and btu information in their system and when it’s blank (like my case) it’s dangerous as they won’t be able to cater for turbo as they will not want to gamble. I contacted TM to ask them to check In their system on my router details and true enough they didn’t have them. I then told them that I’m using my own router and please update my router information in the system and within 48hours I got a call back
From them acknowledging my information on has been updated and they will inform turbo team to expedite my speed as I don’t need to depend on their hardware.

Very unlikely if under contract because that is the argument TM will use against us.
However, if they are doing something for existing users then OK.

Nevertheless, my 800Mbps still nowhere to be seen, I don't even know this day will come because our area is a newly covered by UniFi. TM struggled to upgrade my speed to 100Mbps from 50Mbps earlier, I really doubt 800Mbps can come soon.

I don't want to keep paying extra for something which is uncertain.

For new customers only? so current user cannot downgrade to RM129 plan??  to subscribe, we need to terminate our service and sign up again???

I just went to TMpoint this morning and asked them on the new unifi lite/pro plan for RM129/mth. For existing users who want to upgrade is no charge but on unifi lite 10Mbps they told me to wait for speed upgrade. They say may arrive around October as they say piloting phase will end this month. Not so sure but I guess I could wait.

For new subscribers who want to get turbo speed upgrade, starting today no more speed upgrade for those who apply 10, 30, 50(depends on HQ) and 100mbps. The 100Mbps RM129/mth is fixed after contract ends. That's all I got from TMpoint this morning.

Only difference is at rm159 u get Ultimate n STB. Quite good if u can replace Astro with Ultimate.
