Haven't tested wired. PC not connected to router. Can I use browser in hypptv box to test?

Limitation of router and your receiving device, unfortunately. Haven’t heard of using the browser in HyppTV to test, but go ahead. If you have a better router that has in-built speedtest function, it would be much more convenient.

So should test with laptop wired to router? Not sure if my laptop can support the speed. It's 10 years old

Doesn’t matter, if it is wired, and have can support gigabit speed, it should be fine. Test it with laptop wired to the router. Make sure it is at least Cat 5e RJ45 cable.
