Hi guys, just bought a 2010 Hline (or SE) Persona @93k mileage from the shops.


Planning to send the car for service and ATF flush & replacement at Proton SC.. Sometime this week.

But due to work, I have been using it for 1 week. Went to KLIA n back twice.

Engine quite smooth, FC reading is 10k/100l. Is this normal?

Also thinking of getting the Shell semi oil from Tesco (the 82RM one) to use when servicing.

Any advise for me from all the sifus here?

Oh sorry, u the one pay extra toll to stay in cheaper house.

Im using HX7 semi from Giant/tesco, feels ok but prefer castrol better.

Hi guys, I have some problem with my persona elegance h-line 2011, hope you guys can help.

1. On idle, my steering wheel vibrates slightly but noticeable. Is this normal?
2. When driving on uneven road, can hear 'duk duk' noise. Any clue? No sound when I drive pass a road bump.

>> Normal for aged Proton (7 out of 10 will have this massage steering wheel), usually signs of engine mounting kaput.

>> Tulang anjing or lower arm bushing or steering rack. Too many possibility, better let mechanic inspect.

2. can let we hear it , then we can diagnose from past problem . du duk can be from many sound

Fully Synthetic oil "endorsed" by Ferrari only use for 5k km?
That's a waste.

"Endorsed". Have you not felt your engine idles rough sooner even before the service is due when you use Shell EOs?

U try ady then u know. I was on 2 cycles of Shell Helix oil, 1st Helix Ultra (9.5k km), then Helix HX7 (5.5k km). Engine sounds much harsher and vibration increase around 5-10%.
Now back to Castrol Edge

1) time to change engine mouting, get those Mitsubishi motors one.
2) Sounds like lower arm, tulang anjing/absorber link need to replace.

The one endorsed is Shell Helix Ultra Racing 10W-60 only.

Mercedes F1 team uses Petronas EO and petrol. U use the same oil i see ur car can gain even 10bhp or not

Magnatec 10W40 or Edge 5W40. I normally get edge unless it's sold out or too expensive. Normal price I get on shopee is RM120 with shipping for edge.

Problem No. 2 might be the steering common problem.
Mine one also haven't fix as of now, 179K d.
