Yup, that’s how to identify firmware. Why

Software version: V8-R51MT05-LF1V488.XXXXX
*
I guess it looks compatible since the firmware also refer to the same ID, which is V8-R51MT05.

Besides that what he posted include the C725 series.

I already use the firmware and so far no problem.

madvr using PC and graphics card? Is this a better option compared to buying a box like Zidoo?

Hi,

If you are looking at real 48Gbps HDMI 2.1 bandwidth implementation which support 4k120hz or 4k144hz, only the 98 inch model of C655 supports it as it comes with 4k 120hz panel.
Other TCL models which support it are C755 or C855.
Usually TVs with specs such as support 4k VRR 144hz have true HDMI 2.1 implementation.
Thanks.

Most TCL TV does not come with native 120hz panel, it is actually 60hz. But these tvs have software to insert frames to make it smooth like 120hz & this gimmick feature also typically only available for 55 inch & above model only.

Another way to tell with those with VRR feature then is real like 98" C655 & 55" C755

That being said, If you're plugging to PC can still force custom refresh rate but at lower resolution (4k60hz > 1080p120hz) etc even on HDMI 2.0

checked a few stores in Selangor. majority of them either don't sell or have very limited series of TCL tv for sale. price also terrible. I'm looking for 75" C845.

is online TCL store having the best price of all? where did y'all buy your tv at lower price than TCL shopee/lazada official store's?

Guys, I'm deciding in between C655 & P755. Just double checking, the C series should be the better specification correct?

According to certain website,

Which Series is Right for You?

The choice between the TCL TV C and P series ultimately depends on your specific preferences and budget.

Consider the C series if:
You prioritize cinematic experiences with vibrant colors and deep blacks
You want a TV with advanced features such as Dolby Vision HDR and Google TV
You are willing to invest in a higher-priced TV

Consider the P series if:
You value affordability and versatility
You prefer a TV with a simple and user-friendly interface
You are looking for a solid 4K viewing experience without the need for advanced features

I buy at store but the price is no difference and also added cost if use courier to deliver. I don't think online price can be much cheaper than TCL partner shops as it would hurt their (store owner) business.

Best you refer to their partner list. Call and ask if they have stock.
