Kingston A400 price dropped few months ago. It's TLC NAND, that's why it's cheap.

TLC basically has the shortest lifespan. If you don't read/write often on the SSD, it should be ok.

I've killed 2 MLC SSDs, each roughly almost 2 years, and 1 TLC just barely 1 year old lol.
SSD won't last long being used as scratch disk haha. laugh.gif

No cheapo technology, found a newer way to further use a cell to store more data, instead of storing 1 or 2 bit in a single cell, they store 3 or 4 bit of data instead.

Good is can store more, cheaper hardware, bad is the cell being write twice more so life span is further cut by half.
