Personally the inability to respond to a dispute after more than 2 weeks is awful.  I would think that a properly run system would have prescribed response times as a KPI and at least update customers on status progress if an investigation is still ongoing, or if they need more time.

However, there has been ZERO contact from BP since I e-mailed my dispute form.

Imagine if actual money had gone missing from my account and they reacted the same way.

This is AirAsia....you will receive the same difficulty trying to sort out issues with AA....

I would say, par for the AA group....

It looks like there are plenty of problems with the BP system, as well as the app....not uncommon to have updated apps crash....

Yet plenty of people willing to stick on.....

So obviously there is enough $$$ advantage with the BP system for people to accept some pain....lol

Which makes me wonder....how is bp monetising this?....are they making any money?.....

Yes, the calculation of relative cash back with airlines only exist if in reality you will spend that amount money for the airticket.
*
Not necessarily....as long as you travel, you will have use for miles....

The choice then is between paying cash for y.....or paying less cash plus miles for j....that's why people collect miles....

The reality is, almost nobody actually pay their own money for j....90% of j passengers are on business expense or redemption tickets....

So yes, it's a theoretical advantage.....the "value" isn't real unless you actually will pay cash for the ticket....

But the j experience IS REAL....lol

If everything really charge accordingly ... then this card really can’t be use “properly” d
*
they started like airasia....charge for everything....

but suspended most of the charges to expand the customer base....

don't see how these suspended fees can be re-enforced, without losing a significant part of the client base....

QUOTE(avinlim @ Apr 3 2019, 08:13 AM)

I dont see everythg they also charge eh... except withdrawal which is RM6 & RM10 for local n oversea withdrawal. Try use cc to withdraw money from ATM and see how much they charge compare to bp  innocent.gif  innocent.gif  innocent.gif  innocent.gif
*
it's a preloaded card, not a credit card, so cannot charge like cc cash withdrawal where basically you borrow money....here you are just trying to access you own money....

They're not a charity body so can't expect them to continuously provide perks like 0% commission fee & such. Moreover, pretty sure they're aware that a number of us use it to generate CC cashback so let's not pretend that they have no rights to implement fees. biggrin.gif

They have the right to do anything....we have the right to cut too....so like all businesses, you decide wrong, it's can mean kaput ....

BP is well positioned to jump on the "neo-bank" wave, as it already has a presence among the early adopters of fintech (aka forumers in this channel)....

There are already 3 virtual banks in Australia, including insurer ING....and they attract customers by their lower costs and loan interest rates....

Whether it will take off, depends on how much cheaper they can be compared to brick and mortar banks....

Just like BP preloaded MC works out more advantageous to users....how many of you will use it if it's the same as standard bank cc?

Will you move from a 4.5% housing loan to a 4.3% neo-bank loan? 4.1%?

I thought you mentioned that you don't have BP?

Anyway, yes it is working now.
*
Arrived yesterday, after application last Saturday. Giving it a try, although such frequent disruptions makes it not useful...

I see it as only useful for domestic transactions otherwise not attracting any treatspoints, and as store of funds needed otherwise to fulfill af waiver conditions.....

Foreign transactions, better still use vi for 5 points.....

Well, if use MUVI and load up during games day, may still have a chance for 5x.
I usually do it by end of the month with quota left and other time load up mostly with my cash back cards to spend. Foreign transactions, the forex rate is much more favourable, so I try not to use my conventional cards for these transactions.
*
Don't have muvi....need to do a complete switch, including cancelling vi, convert all points, and redo all autopayments....will only consider near anniversary date.....

*
You will have to calculate if the extra 3 points is worth more than the extra exchange charges.....I think the points are worth more.....

But if you have muvi and can get 5 points, then if course bp is the better option for foreign transactions....

isn't this 2 seperate thing? u cant use boost to pay for foreign transaction

2 separate things.
But I won't use amex for foreign transactions as I won't get 5% rebate. Bigpay is more attractive in this case.
*
The obvious advantage, if possible is to use amex to top up BP and get 5 points, and then use BP to pay foreign purchases, with the lowest exchange charges....

Failing which, then use the muvi on match days, and hope for a win to get the 5 points.....

Boost doesn't come into the picture at all, as it cannot be used for foreign purchases.....

i experienced it trying to withdraw from Bank Islam Ampang branch ATM at about 11pm two months ago...
so i just  ranting.gif  and  bangwall.gif  the ATM a bit... feeling lost... walked in and out of the ATM area... and after grumbling to myself for 10 to 15mins, (yes.. that long...) the card came out by itself...

phew... and i never withdraw outside banking hours again for bigpay...
*
I am surprised ATMs swallow cards..... normally it will just spit it out if there is any problems....the only time it will retain cards is if there is suspected fraud, which usually means keying the wrong pin a few times.....
