Tried to slot and pin my BP card yesterday at a random accessories shop, transaction failed even though sufficient funds...end up have to use the credit card...this BP is not reliable.

Could be the terminal doesn't support prepaid card.

I will be going to Bangkok tomorrow and I have to pay for my hotel room at the property for THB24000.

May I know is it advisable to load up my BigPay and use to pay for it, or use credit card straight, or use cash @ 12.92/100THB?

For about RM3k++, I would used my best CC to collect points. Higher bonus points usually for overseas spending

Big Pay customer service is pretty useless.... I tried to top up my Big Pay card with RM 1,000. Big Pay app had a message and said error, didn't go through and asked me to try again. So, I did.. 2nd time went through... then 10 minutes later, the 1st one also went through. So now I have RM2,000 topped up.

I emailed support and they said they cannot cancel the topped up since it went through and asked me to withdraw from ATM. I said okay but will Big Pay absorb or waive the RM6 ATM fee... they said No .... they took almost 3 days to respond.

No issue with big pay, my experience is they will reverse back in case of fraud

the other day when someone redeemed my referral (only one), there was a banner to ask me to change to the new wave card for free. i was thinking about it, and after a few days it's gone.

They only introduced Paywave like 3 months ago. Those with older card have to refer 2 friends to change to the new contactless card for free. Or Pay RM20

yup. but i was one of the early adopters when it didn't have the contactless function yet. for us, we need to refer or pay rm20 for the new card.

Last update as it's finally shown as settled in Bpay. Exchange rate is 3.772 for 100Yen.so money changer is still better but it's  only 0.5%. Less hassle if withdraw via Bpay and don't have to carry so much cash. Withdraw when you need when traveling.

Depends on the ATM's capability. Max reported so far are RM4K & you can search this thread for clues on which ATM can dispense this amount. Most ATMs dispense 30 * RM50 notes though.

Why not just say "pakai kad"?

I guess it's self explanatory right? Cashiers will figure it out anyways, prepaid card = debit card

The in-app Live Chat, I cannot let the app run in background while I do other things? First it says I will be served shortly with 6 visitors in waiting. Once I go back to the chat, the automated message disappeared. Not sure if I should continue staring at the blank chat.

tried top up boost via BP, failed. but I just now only added my BP card, the RM2 goes through and BP card is added successfully. But the top up failed. Anyone has idea whats going on?

try check the respective Internet Banking if the charges has been authorised. else, call CS to find out.
