Made payment via Paypal. On Paypal side it says completed, but on BigPay side it's still "pending". Any idea why? Shouldn't be an issue right?
*
It's normal. The status will change to settled within a couple days.

For more detail on the status, you can read it here: https://www.bigpayme.com/blog/why-do-payments-sometimes-fail

QUOTE(donhue @ Oct 8 2018, 02:10 PM)
I'm the one who reported the additional charge.. According to BP, it impacts some Time customers, not all.. Time has acknowledged that it's an issue on their end which they have resolved, but until today, they've yet to refund the charges..
*
Hey, I need to follow up on how you engage Time on this issue. I called Time CS & they can't seem to locate the additional RM1 transaction & asked me to send them the screenshot which unfortunately, BP on Android can't capture any. sad.gif

BigPayJonathan you guys seriously need to reconsider enabling screenshot on Android unless there's a way for us to get a payment receipt or statement to allow us to dispute with vendors.

Let me follow up with Time CS and see their response.. I've also mentioned that someone I know is impacted as well.. Will PM you for more info if they ask for it..

I've sent them an email with the phone screen captured using my laptop camera. Likewise, I'll update if there's any development on this.

QUOTE(BigPayJonathan @ Nov 1 2018, 03:39 PM)
It's our belief that allowing screen captures on Android exposes users to security breaches.
*
I know security is the priority but at the same time, without a statement or something "official", we have no other way to make proper dispute.

QUOTE(coo|dude @ Nov 1 2018, 03:40 PM)
Btw, which bank mobile app still allows screen capturing and screen recording? I think the new ones are slowly phasing out due to the security concerns, both on Android and iOS. I could be wrong though..

I think a better way to resolve your issue would be for bigPay to generate a statement for us with a proper bigPay heading, etc to make it as a legit documentation. This could then be used for your dispute purposes. (I trust this feature is coming soon.... tongue.gif )
*
Yea, that's what I'm asking for. Funny that you mention that screen capturing is a security concern since BigPay on iOS allows that. In fact, I was on Twitter DM'ing BigPay due to another issue & I was asked to provide screenshot if the issue still persists after 2 days. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Nov 1 2018, 03:44 PM)
Then you should at least respond to the second half of his request. A 'print statement' or 'print receipt' would obviate most of the need we have for print screens at the moment.
*
Thanks for pointing out the obvious.

And I mean it in a polite way since it wasn't exactly answered. notworthy.gif

iOS has some built-in security features that make screenshots and screen captures safer than on Android - hence the difference! Our users are pretty well split between the two operating systems, so it's not a bad try from our support to ask for a screenshot from the app haha tongue.gif
*
Hey, just to clarify, I'm not blaming your Twitter guy / gal. Unlike other corporation's socmed platform, your Twitter guy has been always approachable so please don't fire him. notworthy.gif

You should engage BigPay CS instead. BigPayJonathan has mentioned before that he's not here as tech support.

Today my insurance tried to swipe my card for the monthly payment (auto-deducted one) but declined since the amount more than my balance.
Thought that can overswipe but not for my case maybe?
*
Can you find us any post that confirmed the ability to overswipe? The few that were reported here are cases where it was either a bug or the foreign exchange settlement that were incurred are higher than the initial transaction rate.

The oversswipe might be a loophole previously which might already be patched up, that's possible reason it fails now. Anyway, we should have sufficient fund to swipe to control our usage is the one of main purpose imo.

Looks like you can strikethrough Q9 in the first post then? smile.gif

I know it need 5 - 7 days only your account will updated with new big point balance.
But this time it never show on the big point tab (when you click the upper right "XX pts")
Usually it will show there immediately +X points when you top up or spend.
I am the one with this problem? Emailed bp support also never reply. z
*
Yea, it's the same for me & this has happened a couple times before. It's most probably the BigPoints API that went down or something that was out of BigPay's control.

Give it a couple days more & we'll see if it fixes by itself.

Sorry, trying to understand all scenarios here!

Your regular bank will charge you anything between 1 to 5% of mark-up fee on top of their exchange rates when paying in a foreign currency. What are the objective reasons why you'd want to pay with a different card than BigPay? Just cashback / rewards?
*
There's a post where a forum member used his BigPay in China but was charged additional 2% on top of the Mastercard exchange rate.

At this point in time, it's just hearsay since this is based on a single post but some of us here suspect that it could be an additional 2% charged by merchant for non-China based card.

Yes, if BigPay charge 2% fee (as 1 of the user reported recently) I will not use BigPay for oversea txn as bank credit card charge lower than 2% on top of the VISA/Master exchange rate. Where some credit card do provide cashback to cover the fee charged.
Yes, I was using BigPay for taobao purchase and the rate always follow XE.. but, since got someone reported that the rate is 2% higher than MasterCard rate, then I wonder is it BigPay start to imposed 2% fee.. I hope it is not but someone reported it.. maybe others who have recently done foreign rate purchase could share their rates too..

Else, if BigPay really charge 2% fee, I think I will stick back to credit card which charge only 1.25% - 2% such as PBB
*
Honestly at this point in time, it's just hearsay & the sample size is way too small to determine that the 2% fee comes from BigPay. Perhaps we should wait for more feedback from other users before we start bringing out the pitchfork?

*
You might want to give Shopee some buffer time to straighten things up. You might even use the proof of being charged to dispute with Shopee to honour the deal.

In the event you wanted to raise a dispute claim with BigPay, you can reach out to them via their number on weekdays.

It's using MOLPay gateway.

It gave warning that the card might not be accepted but based on my last couple purchases, BigPay went through smoothly.

Guys, just to be 100% sure: if you're facing BIG Points issues, please use our live in-app chat (Settings > Support > Chat with us) to notify us that you haven't been awarded any even for settled transactions. As I said, they should all be automatically awarded at some point but I don't to take any risk and prefer if we can keep an individual tab to make sure it gets solved smile.gif Thanks!
*
No, this isn't the issue with the BIG Points. I'm fully aware that BIG Points issue are beyond your control. Rather, this is about transactions being stuck in pending status for way longer than normal. Just checking in case you knew something about this. smile.gif
