QUOTE(v2_vehooi @ Jun 6 2019, 12:45 AM) we top up money and spend using bigpay, we will earn airasia big point. But, it seem youtrip doesn't reward any point to holder. which part is better than bigpay? It is not any better using Youtrip compared to BigPay. Mine just sitting collecting dust in my desk1. Credit card doesn't give points when top up 2. Can't use international CC 3. No points when spending using this card 4. Oversea withdrawal kena $5 charge |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Jun 6 2019, 02:21 PM) Airasia points is rubbish and literally useless. Tell me how to u need to spend to be able to utilise the points? 1. SG banks are more "progressive" in the sense that they already recognise this kind of e-wallet reload is 'quasi-cash' withdrawal. MY banks just a matter of time they'll close this loop holeYou can exchange money way before your trip. With BigPay you are forced to use current exchange rate. So if rates are cheap, you can lock in/buy before hand. YouTrip is memang by SG companoes. So of course they support SGD first. But they are coming to Malaysia soon. 1. I think that you need to blame SG banks for being stingy. 2. BigPay also same. Why would you want to use international card when you can use the card issued by your own country bank? Using another country card to topup is not wise as it incurs additional markup rates by bank. 4. BigPay RM10. They are charing in their currency. So imagine if they come to Malaysia, they charge RM5. 2. BigPay allow international cc reload 4. You are just speculating that when Youtrip launch in MY they'll probably charge RM5 withdrawal |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Jun 6 2019, 04:29 PM) I know about the 1000 points stuff. When you compare whether a product is superior or not, use current facts. You are just blowing own trumpet when claiming Youtrip and Revolut are better, when in actual fact they are yet to launch hereIf you are asking how to know when is cheap, just see the price. Is SGD cheap now? I will say yes when it was 3.2 sometime back. 1. Agreed only matter of time 2. Using overseas card to reload BigPay is waste of money. If really want to use overseas card, best to get a more international card like from revolut and transferwise caed 3. Common sense. There's already a competitor offering the same thing as you. How do you undercut them? By being cheaper, offer better features. |

QUOTE(unknownlowyat @ Jun 6 2019, 10:13 PM) Used bigpay to withdraw Thai baht from Thailand. Thai is the most unfriendly country to withdraw Big pay charge RM10 Thai bank charge 260bhat (+-) currency rate at 7.1xx, which currently should be 7.50. Read review that's use to withdraw currency oversea is good but in this case, my first try, and my last. Probably juz use it as emergency withdrawal. Other countries so far excellent |

Today marks a year I use BigPay. Here's my summary of it
Advantage: 1. Earned me huge miles to redeem free air ticket to Rome & London for both me and my wife 2. Fantastic foreign exchange rate during my travel to Beijing, Rome, London, HK and SG Disadvantage: 1.Doesn't support certain online site payment - claimed not 3D-Secure 2. Doesn't allow payment onboard Airasia flight for food and merchandise |

QUOTE(mr_tuzki @ Jun 17 2019, 11:30 PM) Yeah, the debate is between saving 2% using BP, or paying 2% more and earning 5x TP. Theoretically should use cc, as the TP when redeem to miles is worth at least 4-8%. Just painful that we have to choose, compared to last time when we could have the best of both worlds. A quick Google already reveal the MDR is 2.7% for CC.I wish they had just limited the ban to e-wallets which allows withdrawals such as Boost & BigPay. They shouldn't include GrabPay, TNG Wallet etc which doesn't allow withdrawals, and thus doesn't have the element of "abuse". Nowadays MDR rates are quite low compared to 5-10 years ago. All those small credit card machines which links to your phone, for e.g. https://www.mobiversa.com/. MDR is 1.5% for credit card and 0.9% for debit cards. |

QUOTE(jiaen0509 @ Jun 25 2019, 12:11 PM) All Mastercard and Visa cards can be used on SG MRT now. Even London Tube as well. But the charges is not S$0.10. That's too cheap. You'll probably get the total amount posted later in the week. I also heard there's additional $0.50 charges on top of the total amount |

QUOTE(anwa @ Aug 31 2019, 09:34 AM) That's interesting. I remember many thread back got somebody mentioned that they just keep their money in trust, cannot touch. Yet it seems they earning interest on it. You can ignore that guy comment. He's known to blow his own trumpet. I'm user of Youtrip and Grab Mastercard in SG and also in queue to receive Revolut. Each has their own value proposition and I believe if BigPay launch in SG they can score big. The money is in trust account |
