Is there any good SGD based card like BP where Malaysian can sign up n use?
*
With the same business model like BP = NO

Closest I found is MCO Visa Card. But quite complicated the product. Need to hold their MCO crypto currency.

Is there a withdrawal limit on ATM daily for Bigpay?

For example, can I withdraw 4k x 2 or 3k x 2 in a day?
*
QUOTE(tan_aniki @ Apr 7 2019, 06:02 PM)
no issue
*
QUOTE(David83 @ Apr 7 2019, 06:02 PM)
I don't think so as long as your wallet has sufficient balance.
*
There is MYR 10,000 withdrawal limit per day

Even though you finished withdraw first 10k, your family send you the next trench of 2k for e.g. you can't withdraw that

Seems a bit tough to withdraw now.

Is it a good idea to withdraw all in sgd (assume you are in sg) and convert back to myr? Via remittance or lowest cost possible method
*
AFAIK ATMs in SG can only allow max S$1000 per withdrawal

Yes, I managed to test it out last week with BigPay and also with Samsung Pay, and both work seamlessly.

When I added my card into the SimplyGo app, S$0.10 (RM0.30) is charged for authorisation, and when I tapped in at the station for the first time, S$0.10 authorisation is charged again. However, nothing is charged yet in my card except for the authorisation S$0.10 that is still pending. I read somewhere that they will charge a lump sum later. Maybe the charges will appear in my BigPay app end of the month. For the list of rides I have made, they are all listed in the SimplyGo app.
*
That's good news can use BigPay for MRT

Has anyone been able to top up 2 BP cards using the same credit card? I know many here say it's not possible recently, and I even called up the CS to check and they also said 1 credit card can only be used 1 BP account.

But I just received a new credit card, and used it to top up 5k to my BP. Then I just simply tried topping up 2k to another BP, not expecting it to go through, but it was successful!

Could it be that the 1 credit card = 1 BP rule is not a rigid rule, but based on other criteria like frequency of cash withdrawals?
*
That rule doesnt apply to me. My card is the old non-contactless (gotten Jun last year). I think this rule only applies to new users

Hi guys, newbie here. Planned to go Hongkong this October, most likely won't be going to HK anytime soon after this trip. So i'm thinking of not changing too much cash and use Bigpay card instead.

Do you think it's a good idea to withdraw on needed basis in ATM machine in HK using bigpay card? will i take advantage of the exchange rate of bigpay when withdrawing from their ATM or is it better i bring HKD in cash?

TQ in advanced.
*
How long you are going to be there for? I was there for 8 days last month. I withdrew HKD$2,000 for my spending there + HKD$400 cash exchanged at money changer before I fly off.

FYI, many establishments there use Octopus card (their version of TouchnGo) which you can use not just for MRT but even buying groceries down to paying for laundry. Suggest you withdraw HKD and reload to this card

I'll be there for family trip. 5 days 4 nights. I guess bigpay withdrawal currency exchange rate from HK ATM will definately beat our local money changer right??
Is there another exchange rate when you using it as ATM withdrawal vs using it as credit card?

Their website is not really informative.
*
Withdrawal rate using BigPay is always better than money changer. I never compare with credit card

so the fees is RM 10 from bigpay (assume no extra charge from that bank). The exchange rate will be using the respective ATM bank you withdraw right ?
*
Exchange rate is NOT using the bank ATM rate. It's using MASTERCARD's

I have the Youtrip card. It's sitting collecting dust in my drawer now. It allow cc top up but only limited to SG bank cards. The banks don't give points or rebate at all for topping up this card - all have clause saying it's a 'quasi-cash'? Only can top up in SGD. Then inside wallet you can convert to other currencies. Can also convert back to SGD after your trip

In my opinion, anything below 1.2% cash back or reward points not worth our time, petrol to look for ATM that can be used to withdraw for at least 3k.  sweat.gif
*
Justify the reward based on amount that you save or earn, not %. If 1.2% only give you RM20 cash back I think it's a waste but if 0.3% of loan interest give you RM300 monthly savings you'll switch financiers

I'm talking about any finance product, from FD to tourist tax rebate. If the amount is minuscule. Don't waste your time

From my observation, some of the Singapore ATM do mandatory bank conversation even for same bank, no SGD option, some of it charge withdrawal fee. it will show the information before withdrawal, have to skip those ATM.

Here is my screenshot:

Someone reported you can withdraw S$2,500 (largest amount) from Bank of China ATM in SG, thus minimizing RM10 withdrawal cost

I got GBP1=MYR5.263 as approximate exchange rate. Fantastic rate! Many places here doesn't require PIN as well
