If you look at the Mastercard conversion rate for the month, these few days the rate is high.

For example:
9 Oct - 36.80
16 Oct - 37.18
20 Oct - 37.09
21 Oct - 37.09
22 Oct - 37.01
23 Oct - 37.16
24 Oct - 37.08
25 Oct - 37.29
26 Oct - 37.48
27 Oct - 37.48
28 Oct - 37.48
29 Oct - 37.38
30 Oct - 37.21

Today's rate on klmoneychanger.com, lowest is 37.30, highest is 37.50.

It all depends on your luck when the purchase is settled. That is how it works. We just hope that the payment is settled on the day when the rate drops. For example, if you have made purchases on the 27 October, the rate would have been 37.48, and if let's say it's settled on 30 Oct, then you will be paying the rate 37.21. And your post here in the forum would have been a different one I think.... hahaha.
*
I did make an online payment for 10,800yen at 20 Oct, RM399.44 (36.98 per 1000yen), settled at 25 Oct, RM399.75 (37.01)

I m happy with the rate......plus points is ........ cash back from bank's top up cash back

BP's MCC is revised to 6540. It is likely it will be classified as a "Cash Advance" in near future, similar to purchasing cryptocurrency which was re-classified as a Cash Advance a few month ago.

The app shows transaction is settled and dispute form has been submitted. The CS replied that they will forward to relevant team to investigate and update me within 60 days.

Will I get lost on such money and they claimed has been dispensed?

Should I also go to CIMB bank and make report?
*
I experienced this situation b4, by 7 workings the amount will be reversed to your account automatically. (The app shown "transaction - strike through")

Mean when during withdrawal failed at atm (cash does not come out) and bp balance got deducted, we just wait 7 days for the cash to revert to our bp account?
*
I did raise this matter to bank and BP, both sides mentioned all this will be auto cancelled if it can't go through.

Can withdraw whatever you have in your savings account I think. Per withdrawal got limit, but dunno if per day got (long time ago used to have la).
*
For ATM withdrawal from saving account, max limit is 10K per day (CIMB), I assume that the lady hold few accounts' cards to make multiple withdrawal. It is norm to see person make multiple withdrawal during early of the months ....... to help "staff" to withdraw salary. tongue.gif

normally how much difference only worth us to withdraw from oversea ATM than going to mid valley to exchange?

e.g.: I exchanged SGD150 for 3 days usage, which only cost me like RM453
*
since u plan for small amount of spending, it is better change at money changer before u depart to oversea.
for me, if i need more than RM3K value currency, i will plan to make ATM withdrawal at oversea.

So do u guys change foreign currency at money changer Malaysia before traveling or withdraw at overseas ATM using bp?
*
It is depends on how many days or purpose to travel.

Example...... my Apr trip to Japan with my family, I just brought 5000yen (RM200) to Japan. Once I touch down Japan, I went to 7-11 to withdraw cash for my trip (The rate is better than MC rate at Malaysia). I swiped card as much as possible at Japan because it is quite credit card friendly. I still have some balance of Japanese Yen and the end of the trip, I brought back and exchanged at MC again with some currency apppreciation.

My solo trip to Taiwan, mainly Taipei area last month. I exchanged TWD 2000 and mainly top up into their IC card (悠游卡)for public transport, 7-11 etc. I swiped card at restaurants, Watson, supermarkets etc. I din make any ATM withdrawal and brought back TWD200.

got this email from BigPay, before respond to them let me call them tomorrow to ask if this is a genuine email from BigPay or not. I guess every month i top up 10k withdraw 10k is quite suspicious till they want to know the source of fund. Dont feel like giving them the entire statement, most likely will just blur out those non bigpay transaction and only send them the bigpay transaction. Will have to do multiple printscreen on this as well. Damn why am i so unlucky. Am i the first one?

Please share ur experience
