Yes, I paid for the order of my WISE card using credit card and kena charge RM25 cash advance fees for RM13 purchase wtf

The bank that issued your card has charged an extra fee — often called a ‘cash advance’

Some banks charge an extra fee when you use your card for a transfer. It works like this:

    When you pay for your transfer, Wise assigns a number called a Merchant Category Code (MCC) to your payment. MCCs help financial institutions categorise the kind of payment they’re processing.

    Wise passes this MCC on to your bank — it’s always 4829 or 6012, which indicates that your payment is a ‘wire’ or ‘money order’.

    Once the MCC we’ve assigned reaches your bank, they can choose how to charge for it. Some banks charge a fee for certain MCCs.

For instance, banks sometimes charge your transfer as a ‘cash advance’ or ‘cash withdrawal’. And this could come with an extra charge.

Good day guyz, i haven't sign up for Bigpay, but wanted to know something, I have some usd in Paypal, can i transfer to Bigpay in usd, not to convert to myr at first, cos Paypal exchange rate really sucking blood. Failed to do so in Wise. Tq

Has anyone receive any notification or warning from Bigpay, that if you don't change to the new Visa card, they would froze your account?

This was a terrible experience for me and now I am seriously reconsidering Bigpay. 

Are there any good alternative to Bigpay, apart from WISE?

Already have credit card, want additional prepaid and virtual card capability for safety. And also for contactless payments for elderly who are not good with smartphones.

How is the exchange rate and fees for online purchases and using the card on overseas trips (to Singapore, Australia and US for example) for POS payments? I don't plan to use Bigpay to xfer money except for (local) duitnow which is supposed to be free. The FAQ says competitive exchange rate up to 1% and network charge  - how does this compare to Wise? Not sure what the network charges are and I haven't compared exchange rates before which is probably a bad thing.

Possible to use credit card to reload tngo visa card. Then use tngo visa card as a debit card to reload bigpay. Then cash withdrawal from big pay ?

For my case i did for 3 times. My wife’s account only once. Note it’s different BP accounts and TnG Visa cards. Now both can’t anymore. So I’m pretty sure there are some restrictions from TnG.

this reminded me there is possible limit for DC. eg max rm500 reload limit from DC

I don't have Wise MY card, so I couldnt test it. But tng card seems to be the most favourable so far, will update % above spot once the txns are captured 3 days from now.

Bigpay's DuitNow is missing. Just noticed when it felt weird that the screen is so empty. When did it start?

effective 5 June 2023, bigpay gonna impose rm20 card fee upon request of physical card.

I highly doubt that they will charge for card renewals upon its expiration, check the Product Disclosure Sheet just to be sure

Already did checked the in-app "card fees and other charges" but it was vague. Auto replacement for expiring physical card was never mentioned. I just keep my expectation low and expect the worse. 4 years is still long way to go, better competitor products might come.

If i remember correctly mine is auto last year. i waited for the last month before expire to request for replacement but they auto sent me before i have a chance to request, suddenly appeared in my mail 2 months before expire.
