QUOTE(ayamxxx @ Apr 2 2021, 10:55 AM) I found flaws on mazda 6. Give recent facelift, previously also facelift. But missing out the features as Mazda 3. The new infotainment and digital speedometer. Price on the high side for its segment. Cx8 price > cx5, both kulim made but 8 lose out digital speedometer. Biasa lor, dunno is Mazda issue or Bermaz issue on this. Like I mention previously, cx-5 had MRCC in other countries like Thai/AU/NZ not to mention europe or USA. Seems like we Malaysian always been treat like 2nd class citizen on planet EARTH. ahhahaa

QUOTE(Brotherjoe @ Apr 16 2021, 10:53 AM) Anyone here experience wiper rain sensor malfunction? Mine stop working after 2 years.. Now at SC waiting for sensor replacement. Together with other 5 Cx-5 with similar issue. TBH, I also dunno how to justify mine working or not. Since you had to put it to auto, but then that mode sure will move the wiper one right. So day 1 till now, I never use that auto mode.

QUOTE(ayamxxx @ May 8 2021, 08:34 PM) Saw youtube, cx5 turbo fc average around 6.7-8km/l? Is that the real usage on daily drive? No doubt for its power my city FC is around 7-9 km/l where else my highway is around 6-7 km/l. I love to floor it so I pay the price for the high FC and my car is always pump with 97 and occasionally with ron100. As for your questions on the maintainence issue, I think no need to worry within 5 years that will be cover under warranty except for the GB oil I will change every 25k till 100k then I will change the GB filter.

QUOTE(siaokia1 @ May 10 2021, 02:29 PM) Where do you send for GB oil change? Any way to do so without SC voiding our warranty? I asked SC, they basically said that it'll void warranty if change even if I do so at SC. I void abit of the warranty when I got my car on the first day. I change the Skytint to 3m crystaline and mod the audio. Replace the front speakers, add dsp and active sub. I rather let them void the above warranty of what I change as I could enjoy the ride during my ownership. So to answer you about the changing GB oil will void warranty, some said if you just drain the oil and put new one every 25k, the SC wont know. No one can warranty you 100% sc will void the warranty or not but we are doing preventive measures to make sure our GB can last. If you dunt change, chances of the GB fail will be high and when reach 5yrs or 100k and your warranty is over the responsibility is back to you as well. Isnt it.

QUOTE(blinky @ May 30 2021, 09:57 AM) Hi there. I'm about to place an order for the Mazda CX5 2.5 Turbo soon. Unfortunately, gotta give up my hot hatch for something more practical and spacious as I recently "upgraded" to become a father. Would like to know if there are any drawbacks to this particular variant? Any reliability issues when it comes to the turbo? And what are some good things about it? Due to the MCO (again), I won't be able to test drive the car at the showrooms. So my experience with it is as much as I've gotten from watching reviews on YouTube. My wife currently drives a Mazda 3 so I'm already quite familiar with the brand, and to be honest, would've loved to have a CX5 with the updated interior (like the CX30 and the new M3) but I can't wait anymore, as my wife's SA said a new CX5 will likely only come end of 2022, plus it might take years for the new CX5 to be equipped with a turbo engine. So yeah, any thoughts on the 2.5T variant? I'm going to book this purely out of blind faith. I was actually considering the X70 as well but I think despite all the bells and whistles that the Proton offers, it's probably still not as refined as the CX5. Was also looking at the VW Tiguan Allspace R Line, but the safety features are sorely lacking and it's also more expensive. Another option would be a demo unit XC40, but the interior is a little too small for my liking plus I heard the maintenance is gonna bleed me in the future. Thanks for the input guys! I been driving it for slightly over a year. Others then the fuel consumption is high which I had anticipated, I cant think of any cons as others also had mention. For the price you paying, others brands may cost over 200k to get similar class. Another I could think of is the MRCC is not available in CX-5 where if you needed it had to mod it else where.

QUOTE(jagadis @ May 31 2021, 11:31 AM) Can be moded. I booked the CX40 but it seems like confirm can't get it by the end of June. Went to Mazda again yesterday and was told that only 2.0 High and 2.5 non turbo got ready stock and can get in 2-3 weeks. Is the 2.5 non turbo worth the money? In an ideal world, I would top up to get the 2.5T but now can't get it in time for the SST rebate. Should I go for the 2.0H or 2.5 non turbo? Depending on your needs, If you like to have a capacity to drive fast when you like then go for 2.5T, else 2.0H is good enuff for city driving. I travel from KL to Johor occasionally and I love to speed, so I go for the T version. As for for 2.5 na, I try and feel it is sluggish due to 1.7Ton weight of the car compare to around 1.5Ton for 2.0H. Also take note, the features of 2.0H and 2.5T, the scbs and hud as well as headlamps is diff if not mistaken, if that matters to you then you know which option to go.

What should I be checking and also ask the SC to check on? Had you check your tyres pressure and did you do tyres alignment/balancing? Mine is awd and I rotates every 6months even though is low mileage.

QUOTE(blaze91 @ Jun 8 2021, 03:27 PM) I think havent done from the day I got my car as I thought its still new and not much using since MCO. Tyre pressure will take note too. Even is new car or tyres, it is best to check pressure every two weeks or at least once a month as the pressure will go lower over time. Doing this will ensure you had better FC and also prolong the tyres life.

QUOTE(voonvoonvoon @ Jun 9 2021, 11:37 AM) Good day to you! Do you guys charge the car battery? Thinking of getting this Bosch C7 ? Any input is most welcomed! ThankQ for your kind advise. Erm, if you disable your istop, i think the battery typically will last around 2-3 years. If you charge using this , not sure it will prolong by how many years. If the difference is not much, then it is not worth it to use this. FYI, my stock battery have been using 1year and that day SC still advice the battery level is around 50% else I also wanted take advantage of changing within 1year to entitle for half price. Bear in mind I had dsp/sub/ambient lighting etc since I got my car.

QUOTE(voonvoonvoon @ Jun 9 2021, 02:27 PM) According to my foremen, If we do charge the battery on weekly basis; the battery could be last 3-4 years ++ as the iStop battery on Mazda is pretty expensive if compared to others. That's is my whole point if we have such practise of charging the iStop car battery. What do you think guys ? That charger also not cheap right. somemore unless you stay landed and had to rajin take it out to charge, else I think most of the owner will just replace the batt outside. The ROI for the charger will be long if lets say it prolong by another 1-2 years.

QUOTE(Asus @ Jun 18 2021, 10:18 PM) hi guys, was looking at pre-owned model cx5 2.2d 4wd h (kt80) priced at RM138k for 2019 manufacturing year from mazda pre-owned (prima merdu sdn bhd at glenmarie) was told this car was used by mazda management but not sure how true is that. it might be test drive car who knows lol.. is the price reasonable? milleage is around 23k km I think price is around there. can you also give info like the warranty etc.... is it left 3 years since its 2019 manufacture? Overall this is a good car but i think the pre facelift dunt have AA installed, not sure about andriod play as well, and also the power boot. Do compare the feature of that year model with current one and ask yrself whether you can accept the difference in terms of specs. If yes then listen to your heart.... its a good car anyway

But today my SA informed me that a customer changed their mind about the colour of the car, and the car is already ready to be delivered. So she offered the unit to me and I took it. JPJ registration is done online. Congrats and welcome to the family. floor mat can consider to change as well as the one they give easy to trap dirt. the others like tint had been mention by another member.

QUOTE(blinky @ Aug 12 2021, 09:04 PM) Anyone here changed the speakers of your car? Any issues with warranty? My SA is advising me to not touch the sound system because the cutting of any wire will void the warranty. I'd love to upgrade the audio but I'm a bit worried about that... I done adding DSP, replace front tweeter and speaker and add a sub at the spare tyre area. If you ask me , unless you are streaming music from tidal/spotify premium or using a DAP as a source to play yr music, its worth it. Else listening to radio will be a waste .....lol
