i dont think skytint heat rejection is good enough right
*
Up to you. Most of us felt that side and back windows are all right, only the front windscreen is terrible.

but you guys never change the tinted?

skytint is a security tint as well?
*
I only added on another layer on the front windscreen. It was a cheaper brand called Canny Cool. So far so good.

For side windows I use sun shades when it gets hot.

On my current car, I am using Huper Optik. It is good.
Is the skytint so bad?
*
Drive out in the afternoon your balls will be burning. The VLT is too high la for the front windscreen.

The IRR rejection rate is too low for this tint choose by bermaz. They think we get genting weather ke?
*
Exactly. Not sure what does through their mind when they chose the tint. Somemore compulsory.

QUOTE(hihihehe @ Feb 22 2020, 11:35 AM)
how about the side and rear tinted?
*
Rear and side still okay. For side if you cannot tolerate then can get shades.

I thought after changing ATF within warranty period will void the warranty ? keen to know this as well.
*
QUOTE(cloudwin @ Apr 20 2020, 05:21 PM)
As long as Mazda not aware, warranty is not an issue.
*
QUOTE(xAmdx @ Apr 20 2020, 06:22 PM)
Ic, does that mean if we change the oil and filter and treat it as nothing happen. We be alright ? If that’s is the case, what mileage you guys change, 20k, 30k?

There are few good ones. I know one in Bukit Jalil and another one at Subang Jaya. I can't remember the shop name.

New owner here and went for 1st service just before MCO at Sg Besi branch.  Condition of service centre below expectation.  Macam no class, LOL.  Can recommend any service centre with nice environment for waiting?
*
I do went there once and didn't come back for a second time. You can try the PJ service center. It's along the federal highway.

Thanks!  Wanna explore other service centres besides Sg Besi.

I usually go to the one at Kepong and it's quite okay. It's not as grand and big like the one in PJ but it has good service.

Guys
Any recommendation for shades for CX5?
The tinting that comes with the car sucks.
Will the shades be effective to reduce the heat in our hot weather?
*
I am using Ninja or Samurai shades (the cheaper version but I can't remember the name) and so far it's quite good. But for front wind screen I did another layer of tint cause like you said the original tint sucks.

Ori tint IRR around 50-55%. Of cz no use in our whether. Get a better tint at 90-95% IRR for heat shield
*
Yep. I added a cheap tint with high IRR on top of the original front windscreen tint.

2.5t bro , now doing tinting and later going install dashcam.

What's the price for 2.5T now? Any promotion or discount?

QUOTE(xAmdx @ May 23 2020, 11:13 AM)
Only the rear tint is on top of sky tint as worry might damage the heat thing. The rest rip off and stick new one.

I am considering ppf for bonet and bumper. If whole car will be expensive right?
*
Usually people will opt for bonnet and bumper cause these are the common areas for stone chips. These alone will already cost 2 to 3k. If do whole car...can't imagine the price hahaha

Well, I think if I heavy foot abit it will be around 7km per litre but if I jaga sikit and use cruise control on highway will be about 10km per litre. I had done about 300km so far.
The acceleration was so good and without much thinking you aldy reach 150km/h. Btw I see alot of owner complaint the brake wasnt good on cx-5, what is your opinion on this?
*
The braking system on CX-5 is a bit unique. It somehow brakes better when you steps harder initially then stepping softer then harder. I have difficulty getting used to it at first but it gets better as it goes on.

ic, I wasnt having this issue but I was always cautious on this after reading some forum and since its my first time having a mazda car.

But too bad, I had side mirror issue as well. When closing it making some cracking sound. Hope they can get it fix on my first service soon.
*
I did replaced my left side mirror once at service center. Seems the side mirror issue is pretty common.

*
No idea why though. Even a local car Myvi's side mirror is lasting longer sweat.gif

Well since it's under warranty so you can just ask them to change it.

Thank you, I think maybe that’s about it too.
Just finish detailing inside out myself earlier today. I guess I need to look for good coating company, my friend try before sierraglow and now using ceramic pro on his next car.
Anyone one had review on the coating you using?
*
I didn't go for any coating or PPF. I go for the traditional wax and polish services hahaha
