him i damaged my door badly during parkin, my own stupidity. Due to that planning on sending my car to mazda body and paint today. Anybody care to share on what to expect on the workmanship.
*
Not sure about workmanship but it's gonna be costly. I damaged my car once but I send it out for "ketuk ketuk" and repaint. It only cost me around 500.

did you send to mazda  or outside shop. My door out of shape, maybe have to change new one.
*
I send to outside shop. Mazda SC quoted me 2k for a simple repaint and "ketuk" while outside shop is just 500. Some says the paint quality is not as good as original Mazda but it looks good so far to me.

btw, do you guys will go for repaint for new car if found there is a minor non-obvious paint defect?
*
If non obvious probably can live with it. Along the way there will be a lot of scratches and stone chips, we can't possible go and repaint each time it happens.

Additional 4 services / 2 years / 40k km
*
4 services at 2.7k and they only do the following:

All work stipulated in the relevant Mazda Owner’s Manual
β€’ Replace engine oil (full-synthetic), oil filter and gasket
β€’ Fluid top-up: windscreen wiper fluid, engine coolant, power steering fluid, and transmission fluid
β€’ Replace cabin filter and brake fluid
β€’ Mazda Deposit Cleaner
β€’ Multi-point inspection: brake system, tire (pressure, condition & wheels, rotate), joints & boots,
visible hoses & belts, A/C system, battery, headlights, turn signals, wiper blades, exhaust pipes &
mounting

I feel it's not worth it.

Hi guys, 2.5T variant must use RON07 and above? If use RON95 what happen?
*
I think the recommended petrol is 95 and above. It should be written in the manual book. Some say 95 will cause knocking and some say it'll not. So far I've been using 95 and 97 alternatively but mine is 2.0 petrol variant.

Is this worth it?? mine is CX-5 cost rm2700 for 4 times service..
i checked the 1st page list shared, total up 70k-100k service cost, it is less than RM2000

i asked service advisor, they die die don't wanna give the latest maintenance listing & price update.
*
QUOTE(Brotherjoe @ Jun 30 2020, 06:11 PM)
I'm still thinking weather it is worth or not.
*
Doesn't seem worth. RM2700 for 4 extra services meaning each service cost about RM675. Change engine oil and filter don't even need to cost that much.

From the first page maintenance cost which is from service center itself, 70k to 100k doesn't have any major maintenace. The cost total up would be only around RM1700 ish. With this extended maintenance package offer, we are paying RM1000 more. Is there any additional thing they include to justify the extra price?

+1 - interested to know as well.

Although likely need to get aftermarket mirror fold from accessories shop to activate it.
*
No hack. You will need an aftermarket mirror fold module. It'll cost around 150-250

Rattling issue is quite common. It could come from anywhere. Could be in the air con vent, instrument cluster, dashboard, windows and etc. Have to troubleshoot and tackle 1 by 1.

White color is hard to clean and maintain. IMO DCB and Soul Red is the best distinct color for CX5 cool2.gif

After spending hours reading the details in the forum and some youtube videos.
I am going to the easiest way which is the Hybrid ceramic spray method. haha

Base on the youtuber experts, seems like the most talk about are the Turtle Hybrid Ceramic spray coating and the Meguiar Hybrid Ceramix Wax.
But the Turtle one seems way better than the Meguiar but when I go check the price, of course it is better cause price also better...

I think i will try the more reasonable price option which is the Meguiar Hybrid Ceramix wax.

There's an enhanced version of the Turtle Hybrid Ceramic Spray but it's not available in Malaysia. Both product should be good but I heard the forumers in detailing thread says it usually lasts about a month only.

The maintenance refer to..?

I practicing biweekly DIY washing, detailing & cleaning (just treat it like exercise replacement). For HCW, it was hand-padded, and been through 2 round of HCW top-up maintenance (without HCW detailer) . You could feel the smoothness of the paint till now and the water beads are superb! Also, HCW had replaced my MG glass cleaner as well and you could still see the rain drops roll on the windscreen when car >80km/hr.  I think you don't have to worry on the lost of HCW layer because you can always play on the binding time during the maintenance top-up and the usage is really low with the spraying methods i used. The concern is whether the HCW could really protect the car paint property or not when times goes since it still new.
Nice try  thumbsup.gif
*
How do you apply the HCW? Can you please share some steps? I am interested to get this product also.

Wash and then just apply evenly on the car surface?
