QUOTE(evilmashi @ Jun 3 2007, 08:03 PM) E2140 (1.8Ghz 800FSB 1MB L2 cache) = RM299 E2160 (2.0Ghz 800FSB 1MB L2 cache) = RM339
corrections: E2140 is 1.6 GHz, E2160 is 1.8 GHz. thank you. This post has been edited by average.joe: Jul 4 2007, 01:19 PM

QUOTE(average.joe @ Jun 29 2007, 02:38 PM) Well, those E2140 and E2160 are not really targeted for hardcore gamers anyway. Why should you make it an issue? the 1MB cache really bottleneck ur game a lot compared to 4MB version.

If you saw the benchmark between the 1MB,2MB and 4MB proc which are running at similar speed, there are only very minor difference only. Check it at xbitlabs.com . yes, it appears that the only major setback for E21xx is heavy games performance. for digital media creation however, the shortcoming is very little. http://www.hothardware.com/Articles/Intel_...Core_Processor/This post has been edited by average.joe: Jul 4 2007, 01:23 PM

how much the cache bottlenecks depends on whether the game is L2 cache intensive.

hehe. AMD being slaughtered now? nahh. they're still producing equally good processors.
compare at same price point their performance difference are mostly only seen on benchies.
should see those days when AMD was about to close down, before the launch of the Athlon series.

There will be no Dual-Core celeron in the near future on their road map. AMD will survive. Or else we will see dull Intel coz of light competition.

Earlier times it was the Intel pwning the amd's, cyrix and etc during the 8088,P2,P3 times...then cum P4 the AMD's started to be the better proc's...of course only till intel released the c2d...I'm pretty sure AMD will hire over some Intel R&D engineers and they will be back in the fray....its called industrial espionage, heck even the same thing is happening in F1...
