Hey y'all. New guy here i'm looking or a decent circumaural headphones here. For usage with my iPod and my coming-soon laptop. currently not looking for amps as my budget is somewhat tight. would be using it for music and gaming, quite obviously. i know naught about headphones so a little guidance is needed here. budget would be around the 200 range. i'm not much of a bass junkie or whatsoever. but good surround and decent bass would be good. as i'm a fan of rock, metal and alternative. suggestions please? thanks in advance edit: noise cancelling possible? @TJK911
i say the Phillips SHP 2700 would be sufficient...theyre open headphones though so no isolation. and they leak alot of sound.
good for ur usage i must say...

leaks sound eh? no isolation means... i'll still be hearing outside sounds right? as in no noise cancelling and such?

yup...ull hear outside... when ur not playing music that is...once u have music playing at a decent volume ur pratically deaf to the rest of the world...but the rest of the world can hear what ur listening to.

decent volume, means not at a volume damaging to the ears right? is it better than the default SonyEricsson walkman phone earphones? i mean, the sound buffering effect?
edit: been checking a little and the MylarOne X3i and XBi seems to be very popular. is it really that wonderful? i'm curious as to the main difference between an in-ear headphone and a circumaural type one. i always thought circumaurals are better.

Circumaurals are better if you have proper setups. And they are not portable at all. It's a give and take. ahh.. so basically, for plug and play usage and all, the mylarone would be better? i assume that when wallabies say "with proper setup" what is meant is that with amps and all?
hmm... i plan to use the headphones with my iPod Classic and my Vostro 1500. would a Mylarone be good enough? of course i'm a gamer as well and a rock junkie so the quality is a matter...

Hi, can anyone recommend me a good portable headphone that can be dismantled like the SteelSeries SteelSound 5H v2.
I'll be using it for my laptop (will be bringing it around) + gaming.. Preferably the headphones have a microphone.. my budget is around RM100 - RM 150..
