I need some earphones for walking, when taking trains and in the gym.The stock iPod earphones sound to tinny for me, my priority is great sound quality for excellent value.
I normally use PX100 but it is troublesome take take out and keep and also could absorb sweat, so I guess I need some earbuds for these purposes.
Any recommendations guys?

if u want earbuds then the Yuin is hard to beat in terms of sound quality.... expensive though.

but for the usage ur talking about... IEMs would be a better choice... and the crossroad mylars are the best bang for buck around.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'd like to have the Yuin but it is out of my budget except for the PK3 which I don't hear a lot about.
I'm interested in the crossroads mylars but I'm still not sure about IEMs if they are comfortable to my ears and also could cause me to not hear announcements and people calling me blush.gif

the reason i say IEMs would be a better choice is mainly for isolation...especially while taking that noisy noisy train.

so with isolation...ur more than likely to NOT hear announcements and people calling you biggrin.gif

Haha I see.I've been using open headphones when I'm on the move and environmental noise is usually not too intrusive to me.I don't think I'd want to be lost in the music by too much when I'm outside, there was once I realized that I was in the wrong train a little late because I could not hear the announcements due to the headphones and the crowd blocking my view doh.gif
If the mylars prove to have a reasonably significant improvement over the Yuin PK3 or even able to match PK2 I'd go for the mylars.

*
hi yu heng, the 1 to 1 exchange that you means is covered which aspect? only while the earphone plugged in and without any sound can enjoy the 1 to 1 exchange warranty right?

LRT has lots of ambient noise. So the IEM is better choice.

Yeah, now I realize on the comfortability issue IEMs are not that bad at all.I tested both these and PK3 earbuds and needless to say I picked X3i instantly.IMO it doesn't suffer as much as typical earbuds from lack of depth, bass and the thin sound in general.I'll be using these on train rides from now on cool.gif

Maybe your specs design are weird biggrin.gif Anyway it depends on your head shape and headphone type.
It will provide some noise cancelling.

I heard it once, and for me it is considered as a supra aural headphone, maybe is my ears are in bigger size, they just rest on my earpad but doesn't really cover my whole ear tongue.gif

Noise cancelation wise, i'm not sure about it..
