Guys, just wanna ask that did you buy insurance for your router when you buy it from taobao?
Insurance that cover the item if it happen to be missing during the courier from China to Malaysia? If yes, how and where do we buy it from? I'm using a 3rd party forwarder since taobao/tmall won't direct ship their router to Malaysia. But the forwarder I use didn't provide insurance service~ |

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Nov 6 2018, 12:27 AM) JD is the second largest online shopping platform in China.I do have account but i never used their direct overseas shipping. Also, not all items can be shipped overseas, by default they don't allow overseas address and you need to deal privately with the seller. http://help.joybuy.com/help/question-list-201.html This post has been edited by thunderbird: Nov 6 2018, 12:35 PM |

QUOTE(cskean @ Nov 6 2018, 12:02 AM) Guys, anyone buy from www.jd.com before? Is this under taobao group also? Very obvious it's not under Alibaba group. Are those store also having reputation as TMall one? Most sellers are the same on JD, but some items carried by JD themselves. Just like Lazada, fullfilled by Lazada |

Did you try their insurance services before? Their currency exchange rate is slightly higher (0.626), whereby pay via taobao is 0.606. But pay via taobao, there is a service charge applied (CC - 3%, Online Bank Transfer - 1.5%). So end up might be not much different also. But your forwarder do offer insurance service which is useful for those who is buying expensive items. I ask around normally insurance is charge base on 3%, and your forwarder is 5% for items above RMB 400... Anyway, what is the most reliable local courier among Skynet, GDex, DHL, Poslaju, ABX, with speedy delivery, taking care of the parcel and minimum missing parcel? |

But this round, my item is costly and I have to be caution to minimize the risk. I remember I read some online before, few of our local courier provider did have the record to throw buyer's parcel into their house if there is no one there to collect it when they arrive at your place. I just couldn't recall which one...So far if I buy from shopee, poslaju is getting better in their service recently. Nowadays they do call me when they are otw to deliver my parcel. But not sure whether they will deliver router from taobao or not as it is sensitive items... My regular forwarder assure me that missing parcel is very very rare, and in case it really happen, there is a USD 100 insurance cover... I was like, USD 100 only? My router is going to cost over RM 1k, thats why I'm consider to have it cover by insurance... Nowadays is norm that forwarders are providing free unpack the boxes from taobao seller, with condition that they will not be responsible if anything spoil or missing. Anyway, how do you contact with your forwarder? By wechat, aliwangwang or? I added their wechat from the website u gave, but turns out it ask me to add another person, which has different webpage, but look quite similar with the one you recommended. Need to make sure is talking to the right person and forwarder company.... |

QUOTE(milky @ Nov 7 2018, 12:42 PM) between lyra trio and rt-ac86u aimesh 2x I can't give much opinion as currently I'm only using standard router which bundled from Unifi.which is better? looking 1 for my father house.. which is semi-d 2floor house.. own usage maybe using ac86u since 50% cheaper than malaysia retail.. No idea about the lyra trio, but why I go for GT-AC5300 instead of 2 AC86U is mainly because I'm not a tech savvy. So I prefer to keep things simple... Initially I'm looking at AC86U, then slowly when I realize the prize from taobao/tmall is almost 50% cheaper compare to Malaysia, I start to look at other models too... Suggest you youtube on how the aimesh work, and if it fit your needs, then can go ahead with 2 AC86U. For me, I'm only staying in a 2sty house with about 2800sf built up. So I think the GT-AC5300 should be able to cover most of my current blind spot area compare to the bundled router from Unifi~ |
