Official ASUS flagship store doesn't ship to oversea anymore!!!! Not even official forwarder (CaiNiao).....

Back to a week ago when I start surveying for router, this store already not doing direct shipping to Malaysia. The only way to buy from them is to ship it to a forwarder warehouse, then let the forwarder ship back to Malaysia to you~

But few days ago, the official forwarder still available for shipping oversea, now totally can't... Of course you still can use third party forwarder with local warehouse... Just need to find one with full refund coverage if lost or damage during delivery....

The full refund coverage, is it some kind of insurance?

What kind of issues with custom?

Yup... Cause some won't do full refund if lost or damage during delivery...

This item belongs to communication item and you need a licence from MCMC for that and it is also taxable. The forwarder need to spent a lot of efforts in getting all these items passing through custom

But this one shared by sHawTY yesterday still can ship to Malaysia...

Strange, I tried the GT-AC5300 on this store, it won't direct ship either.

Is it because of the model or price, that the seller use it to decide whether or not to do direct shipping?

No idea... Might be because of customs, seller it self, logistic company, or TMall/Taobao, or any one of these parties just can't handle it during 11/11...

Only the ¥799 cannot ship outside

And to those whose looking to buy a router, if you guys worry too much about shipment sangkut la, shipment lambat la, just buy now la, why need to wait 11.11?
The discounts is not going to be that big
For example, the 899 is only going to be reduced to 799, that's only RM60 cheaper
Later your item hilang and seller refuse to refund, you get nothing in return

I'm waiting for the 11.11 sales for GT-AC5300. The difference quite big, as of now is RMB 2699, when 11.11 all indicate ard RMB 1xx6. So assuming is RMB 1996, is going to be RMB 703 cheaper~

That is an exception because of the huge discount
But for the RT-AC86U, my advise is to just go ahead and buy now instead of waiting longer & risk the item getting damaged / lost in transit

Indeed, not worth the risk for just merely RMB 100 lesser. And not to mention the delivery time might need longer~
