They are relatively safe, it's just that they produce a ton of heat under heavy usage.

I have 2 dongles almost permanently connected to my Macbook. 1 for display another for USB and Ethernet.

alright thanks for the tip!

hi, any good thunderbolt 3 dock/dongles recommended? i just got one from promate and the way it heats up was way too uncomfortable for me to continue using it.

Are you using Energea dongle? I can't touch mine for more than 5 seconds cuz it's too hot. But I don't see any issue whatsoever, except my Wifi hotspot from my iPhone is not working once the dongle is being used. USB tethering works fine, as well hotspot from other device (Android). Anyone experience similar issue?

Hi guys,

There are a few sellers on Shopee selling MBP15 in for 9.7k, they mention its US imported model. Claim to have 1yr apple warranty. Anyone with experience buying this way? Should I go for it?

Firstly I have never bought anything from Shopee because my preference still goes to forumlowyat traders with sound testimonials and truthful historical records from buyers. However, should you choose to proceed, please do take note or act on the following items:

a) ask whether it is a new unit or a refurbished unit since both can be packaged in a new and sealed box.
b) request for the serial code and validate it in apple website which will display the status and the warranty of the machine.
c) preferably to do COD given its cost is near 10k, apart from unboxing to check for manufacturer's defects or to verify the authenticity of the machine.

Good luck.

Thanks for the advise. They do allow COD. So maybe I may take that option if I do decide to buy it. Like you said it cost almost 10k. Must sleep over it few times then only can make a decision.

Hi all. I’m planning to move over to Mac as I’m having so much problems managing my photos on PC (even on upper end laptops). Their indexing always cause my computer to hang or reboot or I get the BsOd (my laptop specs is around the 6k range).

So I considering moving to MacBook Pro 13 inch with the higher range i7, 16 gb ram and 512 ssd (10k bomb). Is it worth it? I manage tens of thousand photos on my hard drives and dabble in the occasional video editing and such.

Or shall I wait for the latest update since rumors Apple gonna refresh their model soon. Any advice kindly welcomed. Thanks!

Are you referring to seller in Amoda building? Then they are the genuine seller. Bought iPhone and Apple Watch from them last year.

Maybe sharing the seller name or forumlowyat ID will be beneficial for everyone's reference.
