That was fast. I think orders in December really slow probably due to festive season, USPS cannot cope.

Update:
the hyperdrive sampai on tuesday tongue.gif

Better get it early.

God knows what can happen if you are unlucky.

I need to send my old macbook 15TB keyboard for replacement anyways.

It's getting annoying with the stickey keys.

We can renew as long as warranty hasnt lapse rite?
bcoz to me getting the extended care is more like paying for car road tax. nak mati baru renew sweat.gif

is there anytime in a year apple care got promo aa?
cheaper or PWP or anything?

Should buy base model without touch bar or model with touch bar estimate to last longer around 5 years
*
Your requirement for usage?
if without touch bar, might as well get mb air

near to similar spec
newer processor (8th gen vs 7th gen)
lower clock speed but same boost clock
both 2 thunderbolt type c

for mbp 13 touchbar, u gain
+2 thunderbolt type c
+newer gen processor
+ touch bar
+ touch id

Anyone tested or using EGPU here with MBP or MBA?
would like to know how do we use with monitor that's not type c? (hdmi/display port)

is it like tis?
one side to egpu and another adapter to hdmi?
egpu <--> mbp <--> monitor

would like to know as want to confirm that daisychain thru display port would work or not

No la. It is MBP-> eGPU -> monitor.

MBP -> eGPU = USB-c

eGPU -> monitor = depending on what output port the eGPU supported such as thunderbolt 3 (USB-c), hdmi, DisplayPort etc.

USB-c support daisy chain so confirmed can work.

but as for the Razor Core X (the easy most to get here - can buy from All IT).
i saw aikito node pro has a display port 1.2 on enclosure.
razer core x only has 1 usb c/thunderbolt 3 port.

do i cucuk at the gpu display ports?

edit
* aiyaaaa, apple only officially supporting amd graphic cards bangwall.gif

how much is  Razor Core X? by the way, i saw that it support nvidia card but how come u say amd? whereto check the support?
*
less than 1.5k
u can check all around , even apple site suggest to use amd radeon : https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208544
some tweaking needed to use nvidia ones.

has anyone reapplied their thermals here? im looking at using liquid metal for the first time, but understands theres a risk of the laptop getting short-circuited due to the viscosity of it.
*
i only did try on my old mbp late 2011.
that is after 7 years baru berani buat sendiri.
before this hantar to kedai only.
temp was getting bad, always thermal throttle at 100c.
bukak2 tengok the kedai over apply thermal paste.
applied the TG kryonaut, max temp 80c only now.

probably gonna try the liquid metal (TG conductonout) in a few months and see

for my 2018 mbp, still long way to go & gonna renew the apple care later.
so , probably 7 years from now baru berani nak buat sendiri sweat.gif

Hello all MacBook owner !! Wanna to ask isn’t the new MacBook Air 2018 wif Retina display 128GB really not enough for a student ???

Worth to add RM800 to buy a 256GB ???

Hope u all can reply wink.gif)

Btw silver or space grey ? smile.gif
*
256gb at least.
then buy external ssd (quite small , pocketable & very fast too)

but imho
might as well get the mbp 13 with touchbar tho

Hello , can u recommend some case ( prefer good material but not so hard )to protect MacBook from scratches and also keyboard protector pls  wink.gif tq
*
my suggestion is #1 for u to just get a slip on case or pouc.
felt or anything soft in the inside and tough on the outside.

reason is the fit cases usually will trap heat on your MBP.
Which is not good for long term usage, trap dusts as well.
go naked is better feel smile.gif

#2 buy skin sticker like from dbrand that cover top and bottom of MBP.
rarely that u get scratch on the inside, unless u drop stuff on it.
after few months/years, bukak the sticker , body will be shiny as new.

#3 extend the warranty haha

*keyboard/keycap protector i donno, havent use one. cant recommend or not .
some say the butterfly switch keyboard still has issue. your call.

*screen protector i dare not suggest, some had issue for previous model when u tear the SP , the coating comes out with it. i dont see anyone saying it for the 2018 model. no need lah. at most fingerprint smudge je sweat.gif
