From what I've noticed, the higher end bibs tend to have more dense (firmer) padding, cheaper ones easily get compressed, probably won't retain the cushioning during long rides. Among the expensive bibs also got thick and thin padding, but almost always firm.

Oh, and some nicer bibs have compression and more feeling of support. My Castelli aero race bib really can feel lower back support once it's on. But quite tight, takes abit longer to wear lol.

u hv to state ur budget n everything. ur question for which jersey is good is very subjective. ppl can wear RM500 jersey n say its no good also, ppl can wear RM50 jersey n say its super good too.
at the end of the day its ur own body and ur own preference, go shop try and c which 1 u like. be it rapha ka, monton ka, china made no brand ka, watever.

Rapha is an upstart brand that has no heritage but very good marketing to make it look aspirational and so can charge a premium price.
Is it any better than the mainstay brands or even value brands like dHB? Cycling kit is very expensive when you consider the amount of material used, even more expensive when it is Rapha or maap or black sheep...
But you makes your choice and you pays your money.

they went haywire when the rapha words appear here. many with sarcastic comments for some reason which I dont know. They seem too allergic to Rapha. As a new comer in this thread, I dont know that some of us here have this kind of allegic.

I am not stating the budget because that is not my concern. My concern is a good jersey as the one I have from event is some how not good enough (MEX Ride but Lekas jersey is pretty good). I did my research and most of the brands are very new to me. I dont even know or heard of them before. Based on the inputs I gather from reading articles, forums, I will have to try them which fit me best. That's the reason I am asking here. I dont even know Rapha is premium brand but I dont mind paying abit of premium tho for something I feel worth it.

Think you’ve misconstrued what we’ve written but what chinti said was what we meant. It was hardly sarcastic but if you perceived as so then it is not entirely on us but also some on us however I also was not being unhelpful as I merely mentioned the moniker Rapha and which part of it was sneery or have negative connotation I have no idea so I apologize.

Btw, welcome to the world of cycling, where the rich people are not not always fawned but often scorned because there are too many of us living paychecks by paychecks just to make ends meet.

like i said, whether u filthy rich or as poor as a homeless thug, at the end of the day it is ur own preference. no one here can tell u which jersey brand is good or bad. u dun buy jersey n bib by reading people's comments, u buy them by trying them out by urself in the shop.

is this ur first time buying clothes in ur life? its the same as buying normal clothing, u go to shop, u go n try them on, u judge by urself whether they r comfy or suitable for u.
u dun go n read other people's comments telling u 'oh wow, after wearing this shirt, i feel like im super hot n sexy', then u went ahead n purchase to only realized u r not hot n sexy coz u r fat n ugly.

u get my point? people still can answer u if u ask which bike is good, but for clothing, its all personal preference.

p.s. im wearing cheap clearance monton and im very happy with it, it cost me less than RM100 for jersey and bib.
