Have been doing some survey on local bike fitting service:
Vo2Max: RM750
LittleRock: RM700
Cyclery Damansara Perdana (Retul): RM880
Specialized Bangsar: RM700
PedalUp Cycle (GuruFit) : RM600
Custom Bike Fit (Wong): RM290
SA Bike (Owned by prev Ironman MY champion) : RM150
CM Bike Sports: RM200
Given the huge price variance/gap, is it worth going for the first 2? After all, we might need to refit once we change saddle, pedal, etc in the future.
Anyone done any bike fitting from any of the above or even other places?
dont just see the price, u have to ask, what kind of fit they do? some are more like "bike sizing"(i personally call it bike sizing) what they do is basically make sure your leg reach pedal, your knee dont overlap your spindle, those thing you can watch from youtube lulz or when u first buy a bike, they give "a free bike fit" (which basically same like a bike sizing style)....
bike fitter has a lot of service, some has saddle pressure check(and they do know whole range of saddle and their behavior!!! which suit or does suit your bum), pedal/clip shoe setup and fitting, some price include a
1 year subscription of free call in/return(to shop for 2nd refit if you change saddle) service. hence the vary in price. "some" is 1 fit price (they dont answer your question when u have issue after the fit).
bike fit start with body flex check, ape index, check stack and reach high on their machine (not your bike), test the stack reach setting on their machine, and video you on your bike, before and after new setup, refine tuning, talk about your habit (some ppl have V engine pedaling style) talk a lot about bad habits and right way to ride or your body cant ride the proper way due to injury or body issue, ways around it etc. very very details way to improve...
so the Price Justify Nothing. as different fitter provide very different range of service.
