45 and Max is 175. Maybe need to change the HR Zone setting or faulty sensor because I didn't think i was overexerting myself.

220-age is simplified easy method to find max HR.
maybe ekceli ur max HR is higher.
cuba try test to find out ur actual max HR.

I'm 41 years old and if to follow the 220 rules of max HR, my max should be 179 but until now i can still hold well above 180s comfortably. Guess what makes you comfortable is alright but once you are out of your comfort zone, be careful and try not to hold it too long

Oh ok... that kinda clears the confusion I had earlier coz when I asked about the Retul cycling machine, he mentioned there is another who is certified to use that machine. Cheers.

Was at Rimbayu last weekend.
manage to do a 40KM ride making a few loops to Eco Sanctuary, Tropicana and short loop to Gamuda land too.
Enjoyable and peaceful as less traffic, less junction, and weather was great - just after a short drizzle

And importantly.... it is very much flat  rclxms.gif
Btw- shopping for new helmet. Friends recommend Kask Protone.
what is the hype eh?
*
I wouldn't buy protone. Old and many fakes. I'm using one, bought before the fakes started coming out lol.
Consider Kask utopia, Oakley ar03 or ar05, met trenta 3k, rudy project spectrum, lazer bullet, bontrager ballista or velocis, sworks evade ii, kabuto ar01

Hi riders~
i am thinking to try oval chainring like the rotor q-ring or doval~
the reason being is when i read through some user experience, it helps to reduce muscle cramp and i am easily cramp type of person~ So far i only see one user mention this benefits. Other than that, the most common advantage is improving pedaling at dead spot. The disadvantage could be the shifting quality might not be as good as round chainring.

So anyone of you are oval chainring user? can share abit on your experience and would you recommend it?
*
Using qring at #3 position, middle one. First ride after change crank and qring terus go climb up mayor Hill bukit tunku. At the 1-4 o clock crank position fuh quads on fire sial 😂. But after awhile got used to it. On flats smooth pedaling cos less dead spots. Probably won't go back to round cranks. Also cos my spare chainring is anodized red qrings, once current one worn out gonna change to that, handsome.

In terms of shifting, I had some fd rub at extreme cross chain angles on my old bike. Got hit by a car early this year, changed bike, now new frame better shifting and less fd rubbing. Probably due to chainstay length difference between the 2 bikes, longer chainstay chain angle not as extreme. Summary, if wanna go for oval, try la. But give time to adapt, and maybe need to play around. Another friend can't use qring at #3 position, prefers #4 or 5 position.

Just do sprint intervals and see what max HR you get. After upload to garmin/strava usually got show average and max heart rate. I'm in my mid 30s and can still reach 197bpm, 2 years ago hit 202bpm, but been lazy. Everyone is different.

diy je. warm up properly first. then go kayuh all out until u can't push anymore. don't draft. that's ur actual max hr.
i find long climb the best place to do it. i did mine at putrajaya alamanda hill. some call it bukit bangang.

I got my max hr trying to hang on to bjcc attack on slight incline, on climbs I rarely reach max heart rate. In groups doing mad speed not hard to hit max hr 😂

Giro brought in by bmc, but cyclist wardrobe also selling. Bmc got discounts, I think synthe and aether 5-25% off. Vanquish also handsome if you malas buy sunglasses, use the visor. Sworks evade ii nice also. Hjc furion also aero and very light. Got the utopia, mahal but very breathable for aero helmet. But it doesn't have eyebrow pads, so sweat can go down into your eyes. But no regrets, and I don't sweat that much, mostly doing z2 rides haha

i went to a shop, the owner also told me to start with #3 position but in order to change to other position i need to use the designated rotor crank~ my R8000 crank has no adjustability~
the rubbing issue also is my concern, not sure my TCR suitable or not... still considering about it as the cost not cheap. haha~ anyway, thx for your advise~

i like Giro helmet but the shape mostly oval, not suitable me~ same goes to ABUS~
so far the most comfortable helmet i can wear is specialized, just bought a s-works prevail 2, model is abit old but suits me well~
