my A70 had this problem and I insisted canon to change to A95 (because I was told A95 use different CCD).

Now this problem will hit A95 sooner or later.  So should I just sell it off?  doh.gif
or wait for it to kaput, then insist to change to a new cam again rclxms.gif

if yours is a current model then they will replace the ccd for you, if its an outdated model Ie S1 IS they will replace with a current model which happens to be the S3 IS and which happen to not have any ccd problems.

I received a call from canon this 2day, in relation to the email i sent yesterday.

i was assured that if the A95 CCD did kaput, FYI my A95 was an exchange unit for a previously kaput A70, then canon will repair it FOC, even if the cam is sold to someone else.
