exactly, a movie shot in dv? muz b a big joke if u wanna get it into cinemas.
HD? there is oni one current post house which can giv u pure HD. n it is not cheap to do so.
so let's say if u get the DOP, director, crew for free. u still have logistics and paper work which need money for u to handle.
which is y i am pointing out to people, not too speak too loud when u noe nth abt the cost of shooting
yupp...some ppl think it's just pacak camera...shoot..do simple edit..then can get into cinema...they forget the in between process uses a lot of money....and to blow up the thing for cinema also needs loads of money....
i think DV can be blown up for cinema release...but quality wont be that great ler....depending on the compression they use when shooting i think...but i'm so not well versed in this, so no comment from me now...gotta learn some more first

i read that 24 Days Later was shot in DV in some of the crucial scenes...maybe that should be a guide to go low-cost...
oh..in this inflation age...RM1.5M so ciput actually....value of money gone down
on a slightly different note - what do u guys think of Yasmin's films camerawork? i see Mokhsin and i think the cost for that wasnt that high since she always go wide-single-shot...pacak kamera and 5,6 ppl acting in out of the frame...hehe...no need tracking panning or reverse shots...it's creative but at some point kinda malas (well, it's her art

)
but i bet the DoP and camera crew boys sure lepak one since no need to penat2 do tracking etc...
if u compare to Cinta's shot...see the camera never duduk diam one...always moving everywhere...and possible that's why ppl love Kabir's work in terms of cinematography
