Reaching 5 years 100k mileage soon means warranty over soon.

100k service free labour and chg spark plug. Rm380. Advisable to chg at Sc. Must change at 100k? How much to chg and service at outside?

Any workshop recommendable from Penang island all the way to sungai petani Kedah?

Thinking to continue to service at sc since until 200k 10 times labor charge total up 1327rm. Average 137 per time.

But worry about the parts prices also. Never chg brake pad yet also. Any recommendations shop that good service and won't have residue of dust from the brake pad? Price for brake pad?

Model of car plate number bulb and able to diy?

110k service fuel strainer and fuel retainer advisable to changes ? Even meter still reading around 13.4 to 16+ km per liter? That the only advantage to change is fuel consumption?

Tia for many question's
*
Mine is already at 5 years... just hit the 95k mark and I've serviced the 2nd time outside of Honda SC.

As for spark plugs... the ones we use on our car are most likely to be Denso Iridium that needs to be change every 100k... if you're using other plugs like platinum or copper, you most likely need to have those change at 20k or 40k?

I've recently changed my brake pads. Using OEM Honda made in Thailand for RM250. I noticed the original factory brake pads are still a lot(save one for prematured wear) when I recently serviced my car. I'm just surprised it lasted this long since rolling out of the showroom

As for light bulbs... recently, my hands were itchy so I went on to change a few bulbs on my car including the number plate... all led... mixture of Philips and Osram brands... cool2.gif

1. number plate light - T10 w5w
2. cabin light - festoon 31mm
3. headlight low - H11

The right rear brake light recently was blown(I suspect the workshop used cheap bulb) and I planned to change both with leds soon... and the bulb for those will be T20 W21W.

I changed mine from stock Bridgestone Ecopia to Yokohama BlueEarth... it's about RM250 per pop... I found it's a better eco tyre...

Btw, you shudn't or dun need to use staggered or different sizes for front and back. I dun see any benefit(s)...

I kena 395 each for Michelin tyre . Future need to check other tyre shop because the change size is propose by them. Thanks for reply.

Usually if I were to change the size of the tyre(usually going wider in conjunction with the width and profile), I will do all four... less headache if I wanna do tyre rotation. What Michelins are you using? I usually go to Klang to change my tyres there.

I was also proposed a size change by a tyre shop and I found out that they do not have the original sizes for BRV, so the size change is not so much a better choice for BRV but convenience for the shop. I regretted the decision, but this was because the tyre shop highly recommended by my regular mechanic so I gave the shop the benefit of the doubt, but it was a lesson learnt.

May I know the shop in Klang where you bought the tyres. RM250 is quite a good deal (I didn't know BlueEarth tyres are so reasonably priced). So I might want to try it for my next change.

I have very good impression of Yokohama BlueEarth - my old Iswara skids easily previously using those cheaper locally produced tyres, but then I tried a set of used BlueEarth taken out from Japanese halfcuts (tyre shop recommendation). I was much more confident when taking corners and have not have skids with the BlueEarth tyres.

The bill stated: 195/6016 Michelin XM2+ 89H

Not sure which Michelins is it but the tyre came with 6 month warranty.

I think so too. Well, lesson learn. At least all tyre last more than 3 years already before change.

I bought them from Hin Leong. Sorry, I made a mistake on the price... RM250 was before MCO... RM265 was early this year.

The stock Bridgestone Ecopias were ok until the point where they were halfway thru... they became noisy and poor grip. I wanted to go Yoko A-drive like I had on my previous City but I can't remember why I didn't get them... either no exact size or the shop didn't have them? The BlueEarth was a gamble then and I do know they came stock on earlier HRV. I'm happy with the outcome and I'm currently on my 2nd set of Yoko BlueEarth.

Anyone claimed for driveshaft leaking problem?
I noticed after the repair, my FC is bad. Is it related?

Drive shaft leaking meaning the rubber cover cracked, leaking grease? I claimed 2 months ago, no change in FC.

Either try OEM brands or half cut. I had mine replaced recently after getting side swapped by a lorry...

I'll go with what Ktek's way. Won't void the warranty. If you're good with your hands, you can save money on workmanship and hide the cable(s) going thru the panels to the ciggy port. If not, then let the accessory shop do it for you.

I'm also thinking of getting a 70mai A500s (front and back) due to budget constraints... otherwise A800
