Game Pass/XBL Gold/EA Access all need to buy using credit/debit card.
deswai I always ignore the $1 for 1 month offers. MS flagged my account for too many multi region purchases

Bought it using gift card's 5 USD just now had to purchase this using xbox one, its kinda impossible to purchase using PC

Out of Xbox scenes for many years, thinking of grabbing one Xbox 1S + the game pass now

log in on PC, still got USD2.50 converted from the points left from my old account

So I heard now xbox is region free, means my US account shouldn't have any issues buying & using any contents from US locally here in M'sia? Last time need to use VPN to buy...

for X1 games/dlc no more region lock. but for buying X360 games/dlc is still the same. MS didnt even change X360 marketplace. they just slap it on X1 store.
if you dont think of buying any thing from X360 then you should be fine.

err. no. Malaysia isnt included. but you can buy a game pass from other countries and still play it in Malaysia.
seriously I seldom set my Wins 10 store to Malaysia. is either Singapore(my xbox account) or US.
I only change to Malaysia for when I want to buy a Xbox Play Anywhere game. just to check which is cheaper

How about payment..any hindrance using local Malaysian CC..since I can't use my Maybank CC on US PSN for example

***UPDATE: Nevermind...just finds out once the game leaves the catalogue, you'll need to pay for it even though you have download it prior. Not good enough to get a supplementary console only for this though.
