FAKE FAKE FAKE

FAKE HONDA ENGINE OIL FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE!!!  ranting.gif  ranting.gif  ranting.gif

you can find pictures how to differentiate them from outside in some of the other sellers. like the cap, the honda logo, the batch barcode behind.
generally 90~110 range is fake. genuine selling 130~140
to be sure you just need to open the bottle and smell and see the color.
1. LAZADA (SYN OIL & FILTER)  ranting.gif  ranting.gif  ranting.gif

2. SHOPEE (TRIPLEGUARD AKA EDMUND LIM, KEPONG) ranting.gif  ranting.gif  ranting.gif

Why need to create new account ?

Interesting accusation could you provide the photo how to differentiate? Honda logo looks OK to me...batch barcode definitely different if made by different manufacturer.
Smell and colour also different between different manufacturers.

I dont need to prove to you. Just buy if you dont believe

Well that's just like calling fresh water patin is fake because salt water patin is the real one.

Anyway i dont use this oil. I get my Shell Helix Ultra from from Giant/Tesco and yes ppl are calling those fake just because its much cheaper than Shell station selling.

Not sure if i had..

All i can say is different manufacturer produce the same product with slight different result such as different colour, smell, taste and etc.

There are no way to find out unless bring it to a certified lab to get tested.

alright as a responsible netizen i will put up some evidence.
this is a PSA from me after having spent my money to learn hard lesson, even used 1 in my car before i realize.
why i don't go call up and fuck those sellers?
come on la we know this fake oil business run by gangster or ah long. you want my life to be fucked up over a bottle of engine oil?
left is original from honda, right is fake from these fuckers. both PACKAGED AS IDEMITSU VIETNAM SO NOT A FACTOR HERE YA
from the picture alone you can see the color difference. smell different also.
i did an experiment of the fluid viscosity myself too, and it's clear the fake one will come to rest very fast as it just doesn't has the 0w20 properties of this oil.
the original 0w20 feels like no resistance at all with any excitation.

Hmmm quite a good comparison but im still not convinced because without solid proof from legit labs.

Anyway im not saying those are original, nor fake. Just decide on your own whether to take the risks or not.

As for me im still continuing using Shell Helix Ultra from Tesco/Giant because i believe they wont dare to risk getting sued selling fake oil.

I remember last time conversation that different regions engine oil had slightly darker colour vs our region. And we jump to conclusions that darker oil is fake.

Agreed with your point, lab analysis is the way to determine. Not to backup fake oil or undermine the fake oil problem in our market, just that a proper test is way we should look at

Yeap its possible different region may varies.

But he said he personally tested that 2 oil is from the same region..but has different viscosity during physical testing

You are right partially. Different additive package have different colour/smell. Different manufacturer uses different additive package/formula for their oil. And that honda may have different manufacturers blending oem oil for them.

Btw the difference in colour/smell is quite big and not slight for each different additive package.

Depends. Sometimes one brand will have few different manufacturers blending for them for different batches.

IMO, buy from reputable spareparts shop / shopping mall..
change oil regularly if you love your car, fully synthetic 7k interval or 3 months..

you wanna buy cheap and you want the oil as good and smell/taste the same like the original one? doesnt work like this bro.

one mech told me that whatever the oil is, as long as it doesnt slime after few km's it will be ok, just like cooking oil.
