Recommended, as per book/ from SC, 0w-20 (green bottle). But u can upgrade to 0w-30 (red bottles).

The red is recommended for civic type r.

Green is for fuel efficiency purpose. Both are fully synthetic oil

bought from Vanli before for my almera EO used in service center. 0w20. Tried it after my warranty finish and the premium price SC charge you for this cooking oil is really a joke. 3 liter rm 100 +. After 1k mileage my car feel lose of power already.

You can feel the engine restored power every time you made EO change but how long it last is what I am concern. After that change to shenzo EO buy from both lzd and shopee since same seller. Yes a bit pricey for 10w30 but then the power restored period is much longer.

I also practice early EO change although it mention 10k mileage i usually change around 7-8k and i asked my bro to change because he is a mechanic.
Just change again EO last week and although the shenzo oil turn out dark (any kind of oil also will change to dark) but the oil still flow freely, no burn smell.

Is already my 3rd time using the oil so far so good. I even use their ATF oil, so far no issue too. For spare part i buy from authorized tan chong shop in lzd/shopee. Example 1 fan belt with labor in SC cost me rm 200 + and i buy the belt online less than 50 plus labor to my bro is not even rm 70, that SC charge me triple for that.

Anyway my dad is really against me to buy oil online saying alot fake seller. And last time the notorious castrol fake oil incident in the 90s or 2000s ? too young to remember that but that time really give bad reputation to castrol.

btw shenzo is the racing oil they use in sepang for 1 of their race troop and only 1 seller for that and they got their API SN certified so i guess it is good to go for me

Im agreed with your dad, nowadays online EO is too risky.

Settle mine with shell helix 5w40, rm80-90 tesco/giant.
Quite ok even after exceed 7k km onwards.

Compared to honda 0w-20 from sc, feel the less ok after exceed 5k km onwards every service. Service it for 10k km interval.

if the price is cheap and u get the same long lasting power, then hey why not right just stick with the same brand. but tan chong's nissan oil 0w20 is definitely a no no shakehead.gif i dont know the rest of the SC like honda or toyota or mazda etc but nissan SC always ask me to top up booster and so on. If you EO is good u dont need those stuff in the first place.

lol the base oil imported from japanese and repackage here in malaysia la. but for the same money actually u can get mobil 1 from germany i think ? mobil 1 is a tart more expensive than shenzo..

actually as long as you keep an eye on the mileage and change EO frequently your engine should last long. my dad's cefiro is only using mineral old for 20 years and he always change it 5k or 3 months and 2 oil change only change once oil filter, now mileage 500k + still with the original engine. he also ask me change to mineral oil but then i done some digging on youtube and some ppl tested after the same mileage mineral oil become sticky. so yea just gonna stick with this brand until it fails me i guess?

if 2 times only change oil filter meaning the oil i suck out from the engine top instead of removing the filter to remove the oil? can that way completely remove the old oil?

Old car normal la use mineral. Modern car not recommended. But I had bad experience using this shenzo oil for my Myvi. Used it for like 2 years. Worst decision ever. Engine felt sluggish. Then when I did overhaul, mech. found lots of carbon and ask me what kind of EO you use. Told them shenzo they laugh their ass off. sad.gif

he work for ppl only tongue.gif , take some part time for his close friends and family. The thing is he do not dare to do until too obvious, because got some cases of my relatives where they have an air pump and air gun outside their house when repairing cars, and police passed by and saman them for illegal working without permit. doh.gif

plus mechanics work for 5.5 or 6 days, sunday only free to layan friends car. other days in the workshop, if you go service is his boss potong u, tongue.gif

is better to know friends who work as mechanics ? because they can inspect your car for free, take spare part cheaper, and labor also cheaper for you. but you pandai pandai belanja them once awhile la.. brows.gif

just this month i pay him to change my stabilizer bush, EO, fan belt. Last year change gearbox oil, drain and fill coolant and spark plug.
