I agree some SC are bad, that's why I only go to Proton's main SC at Shah Alam(CoSE) to avoid headaches and getting scammed.

I brought my IRIZ 2 years ago as well, so far there is no major problem.

But if you let me choose today, I would have pick the new Myvi.

Hmmm, myvi 2018 is like top up another 5k from iriz. Iriz raya promotion attractive eh rclxms.gif

I'm sure dealers are throwing big discount right now, tax holiday.

Perhaps you should go test drive both car, see which suits you. thumbup.gif

Hi guys wanna ask. I just did my 30,000 km periodic inspection, and used the car for about 250km, why does the "periodic inspection" keep coming up? If i remember, next service is 10,000km???

Hi bro, can you please enlighten why new Myvi against Iriz?
Was it because of added features such as TnG scanner, auto collision preventive stop and etc.?
As far as i know built quality, body sturdiness amd driving dynamics Iriz still has the upper hand there

The sportier look, same 5 star ASEAN NCAP, better fuel consumption, bigger rear seat and boot space.

One of my colleague bought IRIZ premium 2 years ago, car broken twice at last year and she complaint CS is bad. Her luck problem or iriz really a lot of problem?
*
That is to be expected when buying a Proton...
Proton’s problems however is more to annoying and inconvenience rather than risk on life..

CoSE is also rubbish! Don’t even know the difference and importance of 40k and 60k maintenance schedule!
Though it’s ‘easier’ to claim warranty...

Build quality has always been a problem for Proton
Body sturdiness maybe, but new MyVi ain’t bad too
Driving dynamics, I don’t think Iriz have any of those Lotus/Proton Ride & Handling...

What's your mileage?

CC6 is highly recommended, low noise.

Look at Michelin XM2 . Just Love that tyre. After 20,000km... still in good condition. ( Have tested a range of tyres with my 2 - 4 cars over the last 30 years ).

Pay a bit more for a set of GOOD tyres. Can save your life when it comes to the Crunch. Plus last 2 - 4 years.

Don’t think any tyre can last 4 years on a Proton...

Proton’s ride and handling setup requires chamber settings which will cause inner wear...

So it’s either you enjoy the drive or protect the wallet...

For the most cheap & basic upgrade you can simply swap the speakers to coaxials for immediate sound separation effect. Shop for 6.5" 2-way or more exp 3-way speaker and you could diy install it. At this stage you can opt to add underseat subwoofer to complement the new setup. most average and casual listener with satisfy enough with this.
OR
Go for component speakers setup for more substantial and better sound separation+staging effect, as the tweeter will be placed farther than the woofer. But this higher wattage rated speaker set need some amplified source to get the most benefit out of it, so add either the cheaper pre-amp [graphic equalizer] or 2ch power amp to drive the unit.
And,
while you go for powered system, you might want to add proper boxed subs unit drive by either 4ch power amp shared with component unit or better and more exp, its own monoblock amp. Doesn't matter if you are bass head or not but surely will appreciate the broader sound spectrum in the cabin ambiance filled by the low bass, as at this point underseat subs unit wont be able to deliver the same experience though. thumbsup.gif

Thanks for the information.

I think I will only go with coaxial speakers because I don't want 2 tweeters on my dashboard, and a subwoofer is too much.

I'm not looking for like next level sound quality, I just some something less flat. Stock speakers on Iriz is really potong stim. sad.gif

I have my eyes on this
https://www.edifier.com/my/en/car-audio/g65...nt-car-speakers

But not sure if the speakers fit on Iriz or it needs some modification on HU.

Add:

How do I check the maximum output for Proton Iriz HU?
