Not necessarily Astro themselves.
If the channel provider (like tvN for example) didn't do any PAL speedup on 24fps content, or any other "smart" ways to avoid the "frame freeze" once or twice in every second, then we will see that "frame freeze" then. And plus, only a minority of viewers would notice that anyway.
Also, new Korean TV series nowadays are shot in 24fps, so you might notice the "frame freeze" once/twice in every second. Examples channels like One and tvN.
But for me personally, I don't like PAL speedup. Although it'll make the video frame rate consistent at 25fps, but you'll have to "sacrifice" by watching the movie with 4% faster than original.
For example, normal playback speed is 100%, but after PAL speedup, it becomes 104%.
And also, the audio pitch of the movie will become slightly higher. This will be obvious to you if there's a background music playing in the movie.
For me, I rather watch the movie with the frame freeze for once/twice every second, cuz at least I'm watching an "original movie" rather than watching a "tampered movie" which has been sped up and a higher audio pitch.
But last time only VOD is affected on"Celes Movie" Content, is very obvious I feel headache. Only during the schedule Broadcast, won't see any "frame freeze".
Btw TvN I didn't notice any "frame freeze" before on both VOD & schedule Broadcast.
