Basically, Astro One’s Entertainment & Sports Pack customers can finally add-on Netflix as well. But a one-time 24-month contract will take effect just for this streaming app.

Discounted prices of Netflix with Astro are as follows:

• RM 26.90 — Basic (RRP: RM 29.90, RM3 off)
• RM 44.90 — Standard (RRP: RM 49.90, RM5 off)
• RM 55.90 — Premium (RRP: RM 62.90, RM7 off)

Previous Astro packages (2021 packs, legacy packs) are not eligible for this offer. Only can get Netflix at full retail price through Astro billing, by pressing the Netflix button or Ch 741 on connected Ultra & Ulti Box devices. Well, at least no additional contract though.

I wonder why is Netflix doing this. The 2-year contract is from the streaming app alone, it wasn't Astro this time.

They should revert to Disney+ here in Malaysia. Such an irrelevant excuse if they’re still saying that vernacular content is one of the strengths when deciding to use the Hotstar brand.

The newest local content aren’t there anymore, they’ve moved to other OTT platforms like iQIYI & Viu. Even local OTT has been reviving with Tonton.

Streaming platform is the new cable TV.

Subject to change though.

One thing's for sure, point #3 is already being commenced. If you're on Astro One's Entertainment or Sports Pack, you can add on Netflix for a cheaper price, but with a one-time 2-year contract for the streaming app.

Ch 612 already ceased on Feb 1, 2025.

Seldomly discuss about Astro Radio, but here are the minor updates:

• Sinar’s tagline is now reverted to “Muzik Retro Terbaik” — the first time in 10 years on Jan 24, 2025. Previously “Menyinari Hidupmu” in 2015.

• Gegar is now back to THR Gegar with its refreshed logo on Feb 13, 2025.

All Sun TV channels (Indian Favourites Ch 211–217) will be available to all Astro customers, hours from now.

Existing Indian Favourites subscribers will receive free access to Sun NXT Basic plan.

Disney+ Hotstar is now JioHotstar in India. A merger between Reliance (JioCinema) & Disney Star (Hotstar).

Afaik, you’re losing Moonbug Ch 618.

If you’re still wanting Moonbug, consider adding Kids (Ch 615–620) at RM 9.99 on Ch 200/My Astro app after switching to Astro One: Entertainment Pack.

But since the new Entertainment Pack is cheaper (RM49.99) than your current Value Pack 1 (RM80), you can only doing so by calling Astro CS hotline.
