Disney+ Hotstar via Astro subscription is now a Basic Plan. Previously unaffected by the price hike, in fact, they were getting a Premium Plan as promised.

Now, users need to fork out money through Disney to continue using the Premium Plan.

On November 1, 2024, Kids Pack subscribers will get the newest Moonbug's sister channel, Blippi & Friends on Ch 619.



Blippi & Friends is a 24/7 linear channel named after Moonbug’s live-action preschool brand, targeting children aged four to eight. It includes a daily segment tailored to younger pre-schoolers.

Malaysia is the first Asian country to receive the channel via Astro. Retrospectively, the channel was launched in March 2024 through the MENA region.

Ch 811-813 for the Premier League, Ch 814 for other soccer matches, and Ch 815-816 for badminton.

Other major sporting events are broadcast on channels 810 and 817.

The SuperSport brand will no longer exist at that point.

Arena, Arena Bola, and Cricket are also getting new logos to match the rest of the in-house sports channels.

Netflix Malaysia is to stream live WWE matches from January 2025 onwards.

WWE SmackDown — Jan 11, 2025

Other PPV events are expected to stream live as well on Netflix, the official home of all things WWE.

Insider info regarding Max on Astro:

- Movies Pack subscribers, HBO GO will become the Max Standard Plan automatically on Nov 19, 2024.
- Link Astro ID to HBO GO by Nov 19, 2024, as there will be some errors at Astro's system end if you do not do so.
- New Max subscribers via Astro after Nov 19 will not enjoy the streaming experience until maintenance ends Jan/Feb 2025. Alternatively, selected HBO/Max content will continue to be available On Demand.
- There is no Ultimate Plan upgrade for a few months until February 2025, just a Standard Plan offering at launch. The same thing happens for Disney+ Hotstar's Basic to Premium Plan.

"Time constraints" is one of the issues they say; Astro also prioritizes the newest pack offerings to be announced between December 2024 and January 2025.
