It's kind of scary that I was playing around in the My Astro app and didn't submit order for fiber and guess what, someone from the fiber department called me and asked if I'm interested as he can see I was checking it.

QUOTE(joshhd @ Apr 16 2025, 11:01 PM) By any chance, did you discard the order after adding addons/services to the cart or order (because you said you were playing around the app)? Discarded before placing order.Or maybe, attempted to connect to a live agent but quickly cancel the request before an agent attend to you? Such scenarios could possibly gives them a lead to the telemarketing team, indicating that this customer might be interested in a particular service but somehow "abandon" or "dropped off" the user journey To save the trouble, I applied through him and we are in contact via WhatsApp, it's easier for me to follow up for any matters then. Hopefully all goes well. WhatsApp? The 0395433838 number, right? He called me with a 9354xxxx no., I assume it is an Astro extension no. He WhatsApped me with his personal no. |

QUOTE(cdspins @ Apr 19 2025, 02:23 AM) Kind of recall about how I switch from TM last time, also through whatsapp. UniFi already called and counter-offered same price as Astro. But my process got delay because during switching, TM people will call to verify if we are switching over. If didn't pick up that call, then TM not release to Astro and the process got delay. Wonder is it still the same now. doubleM2 liked this post

QUOTE(kkm @ Apr 19 2025, 11:56 AM) QUOTE(smileguy @ Apr 19 2025, 03:27 PM) sounds too good, i searched for info on astro fibre on the net but there was hardly any info on how goood or bad it was. Finally i accepted unifi 5.0 offer, cos to me unifi was great,no big issues and had a free landline,no issues with cameras, maybe after 2 yrs from now ,let me see Yes, RM 90 for 500Mbps. Retain the existing free calls and Ultimate package. Plus free one year Disney Hotstar though I thought we are already having it for free. doubleM2 liked this post

I have finally subscribed to the Multiroom Smart TV and it’s activated almost instantly. The best thing is I’m surprised my Internet bandwidth is not affected.
I can even watch 805 UHD channel and my bandwidth is still going strong. So far all OK. Can press number pad on my TV remote to switch channels. This post has been edited by fruitie: Apr 28 2025, 07:44 PM |

Hi, I'm on Sports Plus Pack + Netflix Premium and considering ending my Netflix subscription. Is this allowed? Or can I downgrade to Astro One: Sports Pack?
Or nothing I can do now until my contract ends in Oct 2026? |

QUOTE(joshhd @ May 7 2025, 09:48 PM) Since your Sports Plus Pack has an ongoing 24 months contract, if you attempt to move to other pack and resulted in a lower total monthly fee, you will need to pay prorated penalty fee based on unfinished months. Got it. I guess I can at least remove the "Premium" from the Netflix bundled, right?Or nothing I can do now until my contract ends in Oct 2026? Short answer is yes. |

Hmm. Watching VOD on Multiroom Smart TV has no ad at the beginning or in the mid-show. That's nice. I hate it when I watch VOD on Ultrabox and will have to wait for the ad to finish which cannot be skipped.

QUOTE(joshhd @ May 20 2025, 11:06 PM) Not all VOD shows has Addressable Advertising. I am not at home now because this Multiroom Smart TV is installed at my own place. Did you compare by watching the same show/episode on both Ultra Box and Multiroom Smart TV platform, to see if ads do appear? |

QUOTE(hsbb @ May 26 2025, 09:56 PM) 500Mbps unifi use public ip which only assigned to u, while 100Mbps unifi that was connected to my box was private ip that share the public ip with others unifi users. Not true...Meanwhile the shared ip used by Astro broadband is different than unifi as it configured or optimized for Astro box use. doubleM2 liked this post

QUOTE(izwanikhsan @ Jun 4 2025, 08:48 PM) Astro ex staff charged in court for tampering with user data to give free subscription https://amanz.my/2025519105/ Wow. 743 customers, that’s a lot. I doubt those are her friends or just an act of sabotage. |
