https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/5073652/I'm thinking to switch our home broadband to Astro Fiber since we are paying RM 129 for 500Mbps vs Astro Fiber RM 90 for 500Mbps.RM90 price only lasts for 24 months (together with 24 months contract). From 25th month onwards, it will revert back to original price of RM189.
As expected, Astro would reach out to you again before your contract ends, upselling you another offer at that time + recontract another 24 months.
Yes, Astro Fibre is mainly riding on TM infra.
If you're using Unifi Fibre now (not the one that uses copper VDSL), basically you should be able to subscribe to Astro Fibre.
In most cases, you will need to go through Transfer Request process (migrate from your existing ISP to Astro Fibre, without losing or releasing your fibre port to your neighbours).
Astro Fibre's unique selling point is bundling your Astro TV subscription together with Internet service (Astro Fibre) in one bill.
However, current Astro Fibre offerings is more suitable to those who intend to subscribe both Astro and Fibre together.
For those who only wants Internet (don't want Astro TV), then you can forget about Astro Fibre.
Thanks for the link. Yeah, I will need to find out the process. Most probably, we will go ahead to change the ISP.
