went to depavali open house...

chilling oit.. then realized Ch 108 Colour HD have time countdown on top left part... I mean how long before ads finished & start program again...

I thought this is Malaysian Special Feed... How it's like same India style feed? hmm.gif

Yeah. Having that countdown timer before the programme resumes from commercial breaks is very commonly seen in channels from India, including English language channels.
(Example: If you have the chance to watch TV channels from Videocon d2h, you'll surely know this, unless you don't bother what's happening around the TV screen and just watch the show as usual)

Malaysian dedicated feed, doesn't mean Astro is operating the channel. It is likely or confirmed that India's side is the one who operates the channel specially for Malaysia. This is common practice even on other international premium TV channels.

I seen others Indian channels in Astro too.. didn't see the time countdown.. so its operated by Astro??

So colours HD is directly from India for Malaysia... Not bad.. Astro got good pricing I guess... That's why suddenly cease broadcast Tara HD channel & replace with Colours HD

RM10/month?? That's cheaper than Family/Basic HD pack that costs RM17/month!

Oh well, Astro is revising its service offering prices....

Btw you didn't subscribe to HD service?

Yes, I did not subscribe the HD service. Because over pricing for HD already with total RM60/mth..

my astro started give me problem,will randomly disconnect and give no signals too frequently ,turning to standby mode and restart didn't solve the problem,need to unplug the power and restart then it will normal back.

Is it my decoder problem or my satellite dish not aligned properly?

Press "home" on remote control, Settings>STB Diagnostics
Select "Tuner" tab by pressing right arrow keys 2 times

Now observe the top corner of the screen:
Tell us what is the Strength and Quality % readings for Tuner 1 and Tuner 2?

Check the cable connection. Make sure the RG6 coaxial cable (cable use to connect to satellite dish) is properly terminated and not loose.

If still persists, then your satellite dish needs to do realignment.

Alternatively, if the LNB on the dish can be easily rotated by hand without loosing the screws (which it shouldn't happen), try rotate the whole LNB in either directions until the Strength signal reading reaches the best possible of 70-80% and above. (**Do it at your own risk**)

If you want Astro to help you instead, contact them and they'll assign a technician to your premise, and RM65 technical service fee shall be charged.

According to some Kristal Astro customers, ch.310, 311, 313, 314 & 317 is removed for them starting yesterday.

It seems my house will be upgrading to the new Ultrabox 4K decoder free of charge.
They offer me when I call them today regarding my 2nd decoder.

No budget to buy a new TV.

More than 20 years I think.
No changes to the plan needed.
Subscribed to Super Pack 1.
And also I am in Seremban, so kinda surprised when they offer me where only KV should only get it in Beta 1.2.

It could possibly means, there'll be no more separate Astro HD and PVR boxes. Just 1 Ultra box for everything.
...except Njoi, which I think they'll use refurbished HD boxes for Njoi users.

So your 2nd Astro box will be replaced to the new Ultra Box, but how about your primary Astro box?
Both boxes will replace to new Ultra box, or they'll collect back the 2nd box and replace your existing 1st primary box to the Ultra box?

Well they only offer me for the primary box only.
The 2nd one still stuck to Samsung PVR one.
And I did ask them for the 2nd box upgrade, for now they are only upgrading the 1st box only.
For multiroom, they will offer it a bit later.
And they will not collect the 2nd decoder since I suspend for a temporary time only.
And to remind everyone, as usual, recontract for 24 months.
But for my family don't mind much, need that EPL and Golf, so no matter what, Astro is still the best choice.
