A new contract was made merely 2 months ago for 2 years (Primary pack + Ultibox). I have not talked to the hiding manager regarding termination yet but my next call I'm bringing it up. I can see why it's a big challenge to close account, see how they ding dong me with this issue, kick the ball left and right infront of my face. I'll definitely involve MCMC if they cannot solve the issue AND won't allow me to terminate Assthrow.

I'm just looking at what my parents might watch. We have Netflix and iQiyi now, adding TVB Anywhere+ will be good since they are watching some new TVB drama on Assthrow. So these 3 streaming apps cover most of the channel they currently use on Assthrow. The other channels my parents watch as well is like CH306 AEC, CH308 QJ, CH326 Phoenix News. I can't be certain that most shows from CH306 and CH308 can be found in iQiyi and TVB Anywhere+ because I think there is also local made Chinese shows? Not too sure. Phoenix News seems to have an app but I'm not sure if there is one for Android TV, but they do have a channel on Youtube that runs 24/7, perhaps I can just use that.

That is why I looked at UnifiTV since the Ruby Pack includes TVB Anywhere+ VOD subscription.
I'm not going to get an Android TV Box yet unless I have confirmation that I can terminate Assthrow and be done with them, if not... paying RM65 per month seems like a waste to me if I can't utilise the iQiyi app on the Ultibox. As mentioned above as well, I looked at UnifiTV because they come with an Android TV Box along with TVB Anywhere+ subscription. The Unifi TV Box has practically the same specs as the Mi Box S 2nd Gen so it should be somewhat good. 3 streaming apps Netflix, iQiyi, and TVB Anywhere+ should cover most shows they can get from Assthrow besides local made Chinese shows I guess. The Phoenix news that they watch maybe I could use Youtube rather than a channel to watch.

I guess what I meant with legal IPTV is basically another 'Channel' option like Assthrow and UnifiTV, e.g. I buy an Android TV Box and with one app I can watch different TV channels. But I suppose there really isn't one, legally per se.

They have used this pirate excuses many times until cannot recycle anymore.
Look in the recent 1Q FY25 explanation and some research house comments for such disappointing result are not touching anything about pirating.

Assthrow is losing to unifi for only having 10 channels that can be watched over the TV.
Unifi wins over assthrow for having 17 HD channels.
No 4K channel because no money already even though the source is said to be transmitted in 4K quality.

Astro is free to all existing customers.
They are also "all in one place" if you're on Sooka/Astro GO.

The biggest drawback is if you're receiving via satellite, you'll be getting 10 only. That includes NJOI.

Yes, Astro still maintain most of the exclusivity because they are the main company that paid for the broadcast rights. They won't give up the live broadcast of this matches unless fairly compensated.
Yet, some forumers still mentioned that why Unify TV give more channels compare to Astro... Give you more channels doesn't mean provide good live coverage of the best interest to viewers.
Nothing is free in this world.

I remember back then when they introduced the new packs in 2021, there were no such thing "Plus Packs" like Movies Plus Pack, Sports Plus Pack, and then later on, they quietly introduced Premium Pack 4, Premium Pack 5 and Platinum Lite out of nowhere.
I doubt that they will stick with their "3 packs" for long... Sooner or later they might introduce a few number of new packs again, similar like what they did back then, in the name of "strategic business decision".
Imagine now is 3 packs, then few months later, another X number of new packs, and then another X number of new packs few months later....
Why add new packs, you ask? Then they would say because the current packs "isn't performing well" so they introduce new packs to "cater those audience"...
And then few years later, they will have almost 15 packs like what we get today, in the name of confuse customers 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Deja vu?
And then they announce, oh, we're going to introduce all new refreshed packs again, and then discontinue all the old ones.
Then the cycle repeats itself. If they're happy doing this, then....   
If this really happens, then I feel like they seriously lost direction already.

Anyway, I think it's going to be "interesting" moving forward... Will see...
If their ARPU is the concern, they could also push more customers to subscribe to Astro Fibre, then that could ramp up the ARPU numbers already.
Also, combine all revenue collected from NJOI and Sooka... I believe this is what they've been doing today.

They know that the customer base for Unifi TV is not as high as Astro's, hence can have this advantage to attract more customers to Unifi TV by offering cheaper price and other campaigns (free 3 months?) compared to Astro.
