Just a minor update regarding sooka, Astro’s standalone app.

Now all live TV channels available on sooka are streaming in 1080i 50fps… if your cellular data or Wi-Fi connection is high enough.

To recap, here’s the available channels:

Huh, interesting. Some negotiations lead through the continuation of ART Movies broadcast on Astro?

How I missed the previous Astro TV Beta app for a one-time fee of RM20 if you guys remember. Way more intuitive UI with more decent channels.

A big win for StarHub though. Now that StarHub will broadcast the live matches on Hub Sports channels, does that mean Singtel TV will cover live EPL via cross-carriage?

You have to subscribe to sooka VIP TV first for RM84.90/month then can watch the content on Android TV.
Although this plan supports 2 devices, only 1 connected Android TV and 1 of any other preferred device (PC/phone/tablet) can watch simultaneously. Unfortunately, still cannot Chromecast though.

If Vijay TV isn't there, quite possible it'll cease on Astro. Understandably, Vijay TV is owned by Disney too, so you can continue to watch its content via Disney+ Hotstar.

TV AlHijrah to reverse as a free-to-air HD channel on NJOI Ch 114 from today, March 25, 2022, onwards. Prior to this, AlHijrah was in HD Pack on March 22 due to the channel's "HD" upgrade on NJOI.

Also, Tutor TV SMK is on Ch 602 or 603? Confused a bit, thanks to this end-of-promo below.

Something to do with SPOTV’s broadcast format I guess. They use NTSC 60fps from South Korea instead of using Southeast Asia’s PAL 50fps

Nope.

The replacements of Korean shows are plenty to watch on Astro anyway. Besides the linear K-Plus channel, you've got Disney+ Hotstar, iQIYI, and Netflix. Just pick and watch instantly.

Still unavailable on unifi TV though

Again ah? What channel name they give this time?

Perhaps KIX switches to unifi TV? Its sister channels Celestial Movies & CCM are there already.
