If you say that different paytv operator (example like Ansa broadcast) do not have broadcast right to air because it is not under astro group.
But njoi is part of the astro (somemore njoi is in Malaysia only), how come it's need to pay broadcast fee differently even through it is part of the astro group?
I understand that Kristal Astro does not available Malaysia local channels because it might need to pay certain broadcast fees from Media prima or RTM due to different country.. And Kristal Astro is not fully part of the astro, it might consider semi-gov just like TM..
I'm not sure about the Brunei people.. But some my friend old folk ppl will like to watch Malay channels especially TV3, TV9.. And I don't believe using digital TV (terrestrial) in Brunei can watch malaysia local channels RTM.. It is almost like Malaysia ppl wanna to watch Singapore channels (when you are in Johor), but in fact Singapore try to block the local channels because the channels is only FTA in Singapore only, but not in Malaysia.
I know Njoi is part of Astro, but that is still depends on Astro whether they want the particular channels to be made available on their another platform or not. Cuz when it's
different platform, different story. Like example, Media Prima channels is available on Astro, but why you can't watch Media Prima live TV channels and content on Astro Go?
Brunei and Malaysia is just next to each other. Brunei is so small, for sure you can receive Malaysian all FTA channels in entire Brunei. If indoor antenna can't get strong reception, then use outdoor antenna. If still weak, get a signal booster. There is a way to receive one.

Singapore Mediacorp channels is officially meant to be broadcast within Singapore only. If the signal overspills to neighbouring countries, then that is considered a bonus to the viewers there. Same goes to Malaysian channels available in Brunei. Signal overspill sure will happen. If you talk about copyright issue, then that depends on government and TV station/content owner whether they want to take action or not. As far as I know, Singapore doesn't specifically "block" Malaysians from viewing their TV channels. In fact, Johorian (especially Johor Bahru) can easily receive Singapore channels without a sweat. If you want to know more on DTT reception of Singapore channels in Southern Johor, you can read this forum start from this post onwards (page 277 until 282).
