try watch the arsenal jersey that sells for rm90..i couldnt manage to take a picture but it sure have the red nike tag and the silver lining..the thing is that the red nike logo doesnt look like a nike logo and it really look distorted...while the silver lining doesnt look like dotted as the picture below but looks like a long line...if i manage to go there again i will try to get some picture.

Are you referring to the drop down Arsenal kit which is intended to be sold to supporters? Tell me that there's no FLY EMIRATES logo on the shirt?

Nike produces 3 types of jerseys:

1. Player version.
It is coded with number 7 at the front of the code number at the tags, hence known as Code 7 jerseys. These jerseys are intended to be worn by players during matches and are not sold in shops here. You can find them in ebay, subsidesports.co.uk or some stalls in UK. They have slightly different materials and have different designs (such has more bigger holes at the sides of the jerseys due to ventilation purposes).

2. Replica versions
It is the ones sold mostly and easily found in sports stores. Code numbers begins with 1. These are the jerseys that we can find at al-ikhsan (costs RM259).

3. Supporters version
It is a drop down version. Nike made these jerseys intended for fans who are with tight budget but is similar to the replica jerseys. They have no sponsors but have nice designs. They are made in Thailand (but still original). There are Man Utd, Inter, barca, arsenal and even Malaysia has one. The Malaysia one is Rm139 or something, looks exactly the same but if you notice, the FAM badge is printed on the replica but on this one it is embroided (same goes with the keris).

I doubt that there is a replica jersey sold for RM90, except it is a very old season jersey still sold. Is this the latest jersey used by Arsenal?

As a fellow collector, I dare say too, that Al-Ikhsan has never sold any fakes to the best of my knowledge. And I'd agree with schmeichel7 as well, there is a knock-down replica versions from Nike for all their big teams sans sponsors selling for RM129-RM139. Other than that, they may sell some old kits for RM99 but don't think that they are fakes as well as they do come in all sizes.

Maybe some actual pics (ala schmeichel7) would be very helpful to determine such...

You guys can report to Nike Sales Malaysia, their HQ is at The Curve, Damansara. I've been to their HQ once (due to my purchase of fake Man United jersey at ebay) and I've been told by Nike themselves that they endorsed al-ikhsan as their main supplier, besides than Nike Boutique stores in Malaysia. Those 2 will receive the Nike jerseys first from Nike Hong Kong, since Nike's jersey distribution hub is in Hong Kong.

It's ok man.. I just don't believe with the statement that Al-Ikhsan sells fake jerseys. The guy who I believe is the tauke of al-Ikhsan once was aired in TV3 (the show known as 'Remaja' if I'm not mistaken) and I remember him insisting to buy on originals, the reason why he open his store. I have no ties with this guy or no importance at al-Ikhsan but I know the store pretty well... Even my wife knows how crazy I am with shopping to sports stores and my favourite is al-Ikhsan. She knows how detailed I am and she is amazed at my skills to identify if a jersey is ori or fake just by my naked eyes.

Even my fellow mate, AW13 (Aaron) himself who is a very very experienced jersey collector and has a even massive collection compared to me, knows how this store sells only originals. But I would love to see some evidence that proves if there exists any fake jerseys or items sold at al-ikhsan. Pics will help, as you can see I can take pictures at the store...

Thanks for the endorsement schmeichel7, appreciate it. Yup, pics would definitely help, and pls understand that we're not biased or anything, just that we would not like a particular name to be dragged through the mud unnecessarily. however, sometimes we must also understand that Al-Ikhsan is still a business, so knock-down prices, etc will be common esp when they have too much stock of a particular item (shoes, jerseys, etc).

Both schmeichel7 and I would be glad to help out as and when required, a PM or a post in the Football Lounge will suffice in grabbing our attention lah...maybe with a heading that has 'Jersey' in it.... biggrin.gif

if there is evidence saying al-ikhsan is selling fake jersey, pls provide them.. i'm sick of hearing ppl saying "too cheap to be true"..

u think nike will simply allow competition like that to happen?
moreover fake?

if al-ikhsan selling fake jersey, how da hell can they afford to setup sooooooo many branches in whole m'sia & oso an official webbie for it? my fren & i always buy stuff from al-ikhsan. i have confidence in them. if reaaaaaaally no confidence in local shops, go ahead to the respective clubs' official webbie and order from there. confirm 100% ori lor.

al-ikhsan control the jersey market in malaysia that's why official Premier League shop was denied to open an outlet in Malaysia since al-ikhsan wants to monopoly the market. I've heard al-ikhsan is actually had relation with Adidas Malaysia.

Do take note on what schmeichel7 is posting,

From what we see in his post, he does know his stuff on Football jersey, to the detail that he includes in his posts.

These days, anything can be "copied" and sold at a price as if its the real thing. I wonder what's next will they try to "copy" .... a McLaren F1 car selling at Rm50,000 ? You'll never know.

Anyhow, this is a good thread with a good topic. Even myself sometimes doubt when i see a price of a football gear (not only jersey) at half the price.
