That seems to be RHB issue. I had to format my S8, and after format I didnt add back Citibank card immediately.

Somehow Citibank is able to learn of this and automatically revoked the token and send me an SMS saying that my card have been unlinked from SPAY. When I add back the card a few weeks later it just proceeded as normal with SMS code.

Are you sure?
Citibank credit card can support 2 devices/tokens.

Absolutely. I searched again, sorry it was sent by email, not SMS.

First prize... not GRAND PRIZE .. XD
At least consolation prize is RM100 AEON gift card which I'm sure I can use...
*
It is a very nice power bank actually. Quick charging, high quality cables and casing.

Can easily earn back the cost of going there if you are in Klang Valley should you be interested to sell it

Just go register an account at Airasia, then use it for renewing your SPay points purposes only. Not asking you to use the bigpoint.

It's better than you burn the point off.
*
This, it sounds difficult but actually takes maybe 15 minutes for transfer to Big and transfer out again. And you can do it for all 3 months one shot. Please make use of it while we still can

Points/Rewards could be tied to region.

This. I did use mine in Germany, it worked but no points and no rewards also.

The biggest problem is many shops doesnt allow customer to use spay even though their terminal can support paywave. Some caveman mindset.

One of the big culpit is Padini - i can't ban them because of it because family still supports. Their people say that if i take out physical card but swap and use phone they still will get into trouble. And angry as we get its not frontline fault but stupid management.

Now, how do we go about complaining them into submission?

Can we complain to Spay?
or complain to bank that provides their terminal?
or complain to bank negara?

Nobody you can complain I believe.

SPay didn't say that Padini is officially accepting SPay even though their sister company does (Brands Outlet).

Neither do the acquiring bank nor BNM as both don't dictate the mechanism of SPay implementation/adoption. *if you get what I meant*
*
Yeah, thats the problem... i want to complain but this is such a grey area.

I think I should buy 100 shares of the company, go to their AGM and shoot their managements during Q&A for behaving like dinosaurs in the age of flying robots.

Sometimes when u accuse at least find out what the problem.  This not only Padini but a few shop also because their terminal is not ready to accept digital card number so by accepting digital number might mess up their system.
*
Actually I asked many staff especially supervisors. Nothing wrong with their terminal, if it accepts paywave then it works. Its nothing technical, just "maangement decision". I don't accuse if I haven't done the groundwork and trying to figure out. There are many who would appreciate the education that their terminal have more functions that they know. I also wont be an apologist for lousy management decision. Trust me - if you are in management, and you make your customers not happy without a good reason - its a lousy management decision. Period.

Maybe their terminal is not ready and requires double tap.
I'm still curious how BO can do but Padini cannot do.
*
Double tap like GSC actually is not a problem if they explain to customer.
The padini supervisor i talked to was very friendly - told me that management not approved to use it. I told ask her if people actually do it could work or not - she says got people actually do a bait and switch with a physical card and then tap with phone. It works.
But by procedure the staff have to report to management, review CCTV to show that the customer do it and not the staff let them do, and write a report.

Previously BO also have this policy (the staff say akan kena marah by management) but all of a sudden they relaxed and allowed it without ever displaying "Samsung Pay accepted here" signboard.

So it sounds really like poor management decision on panini's part. I would say its really a panini decision

QUOTE(#Victor @ Mar 25 2019, 06:40 PM)
Since it supports payWave, why not tell the cashier u would like to use payWave, ready ur SPay and pretend holding a physical payWave card, then tap using ur SPay instead when the terminal is ready hmm.gif
*
Dont want to make it difficult for poeple who are just doing their job lor. I just ask them nicely what is the reason la.

Now... nothing there to redeem

i'm usually good with MBB as well.
HSBC is the one usually giving the Do Not Honor message (although using the card itself will be fine)

I missed the IconX and watches and those stuf the early users got. Luckily i managed to collect quite a number of useful stuff
-wireless charger, used maybe 3x, only useful when my s8+ is wet
-2x really good power banks (one big one small)
-over RM300 of Giant vouchers (really good and useful)

Now, I look at the list it is depressing. Spay is not going to be the future of payment. At the rate of incentivization of e wallets, it will be a niche that a few die hard ppl here like us care about.

actually after the effort to create a wonderful application (the magic is that it can work on old style magnetic terminals), for Samsung to stop promoting this platform... such a pity

I did a few transactions today but didn't receive the double AirAsia counts like you mentioned. Anyways lucky for you and congrats for making it into the top 138 ✌
*
Perhaps it was a BHP terminal issue. I was chasing my 50 transactions so I did 4 in the afternoon. Opened the airasia status page, it says 8. So at night went do another 4 transactions, and it still works.

All the best ya, hope you can claim it soon thumbup.gif

That is crazy insanely inflated points for RM20 worth of voucher yo!
*
AA points is worth 1 point = 1 sen

So eventually I suppose SPay and AA will converge to the lowest common denominator.. haihz
Missed the old days when 2000 points = RM50 voucher, means swipe once = RM1

To be fair, the Big partnership give Spay users an avenue to extend expiry forever.

The downside is the depreciation.

My take is that eventually they will divorce. Reason? The incoming Samsung Pay Cash will be in direct competition with Bigpay (even comes with foreign transfer equivalent)
