That's only a con for those already running the s8. Personally I think refinement and ironing out the kinks is a good thing.

Yeah, I agree completely, the S9+ is what the S8+ should have been. The experience is smoother and more refined. Although I would not go as far as to convince a S8+ owner to upgrade.

now in recent app list. hold the app icon in the title bar then 'i' icon. or use 3rd party launcher like Nova.

When in app info, i press back, it go to apps installed screen, not fo back to home screen like app info on home screen.

if dual sim, with moderate usage (no gaming, gps), approximately 3min/1%

But mine was frequently happen when other whatsapp me on the 2nd sim....

Whenever I trying the same with my 3rd whatsapp, it always seems to notify me with sound....

imo, the issue with dual messenger thingy with whatsapp is some kind of a software bug. not just exclusive to the s9, even my mom's s7 and my wife's honor 8 face the same issue of not getting / late receive messages for the 2nd number every so often

Back to single SIM, plugged out the charger at 100% last night at 11.25pm and this morning it showed 98% at 7.45am with maximum power saving on and mobile data off. I think if I leave everything on and didn't turn on power saving mode, it'll probably drain 5-6%. Will try it over the weekend.

You have AOD off too right? By right it shouldn't drain anything at all or you have some funky stuff running in the background.
