I don't play games so I can't comment on that aspect. But overall it's much snappier and smoother than the S8+. No difference from the Note 8 though, if you think that's a better buy.

Yeah, AOD off and nothing on the background, I kill all the apps before I sleep. I was told WhatsApp and FB are the biggest culprits as far as sucking up juice in the background is concerned. But I usually mute my group chats before going to bed and generally don't receive any other messages in the middle of the night.

Kinda disappointed with the battery life of S9. Can Barely touch 4hrs of SOT. My brother's Honor 8 Pro can easily manage 6hrs.

Pros: Stereo speakers rocks, fast charge, camera is great and i think still the best screen.

Cons: so-so battery life.

Any more ideas to improve battery life? turned of activity tracking, and location when not needed. turned off bixby and google assistant thingy.

To improve battery life
1. Use disable package app to disable unused features/services
2. Get a good quality, fast charge 3.0 power bank...40% to 80% less than half hour....

why keep comparing battery life? enjoy the phone, bro......

Turn off auto-brightness. It's too aggressive imo.

Some ppl are too hyped when it comes to SOT

Well here mine, been running game since morning till now.

I probably hit 6 hours SOT if I keep this going.

I'm on data not on Wi-Fi.

Make themselves feel good the battery can last whole day i just charge anytime

I don't like to carry power banks and my nature of work requires me to be outdoors most of the time. Can't afford to have it die on me in the middle of the day. Different individuals, different needs, I guess.

Finally decided to upgrade from mate8 to s9 plus.

First thing i noticed is how fast the battery drains on this s9 plus. Go down like water. Kinda missing the mate8 insane battery life .

But the camera on this s9 plus is stupidly good. And the speakers are nuts.

And i put on a tempered glass. Somehow, the keys at the side of the screen become less sensitive.

The letters qaz and plm become not sensitive. Izzit due to the screen cruve?

Anyone activated a S9 on or after 16th April? Did you get 1500 points for Samsung Rewards? Is it applicable for new Samsung account only?

If can get 1500 points, feels like taking a bus to penang to get my S9+ from my sister.

Run it for a week or so...then the battery drain like slower water.

And Samsung did improved their processing by quite abit
