If reapply other thermal paste they should already know right. Example, the stock thermal paste is white and reapply with AS5 that gray in color. hmm.gif

I've bought multiple graphic cards, replace TIM lar, replace heatsink lar, blow lots of em, sent for RMA, and none of them has been rejected, what say you?

Hah!?? Really? What brand is that?
*
Arlo, i said earlier bought many graphic cards lar, so offcourse from many brands.
And none of them has been rejected while RMA after changing heatsink fan and changing thermal paste.

If you wanna change to 3rd party HSF, sure can, just remember when you wanna RMA, put back the original HSF lah, then send it back to the shop where you bought it.
Put original HSF back on, then the warranty goes on like normal.

Why you guys are so scared of it?
It's not like they have the time to check 100% of the card either you did something to it. laugh.gif

hmm.gif, let say if the card's warranty sticker attached to one of the mounting screw, any idea on how-to install the 3rd party heatsink? unsure.gif, because, i got one of this, the sticker on the mounting screw whistling.gif whistling.gif whistling.gif
*
Boleh je sebenarnya, kena bukak hati hati jangan bagi koyak la, guna pisau razor, angkat sticker tu pelan pelan, jangan guna jari.
Dah dapat, stick the sticker on the gc board and wallah!

You can now change the HSF. laugh.gif

Alahai, senang je tu, bagi je mana mana gc kat aku, sekuat mana sticker warranty sticker dia lekat, aku gerenti aku boleh cabut tanpa mengoyakkan sticker tu. laugh.gif

RMA is one big headache for me...
*
Rilex chump, nothing will happen.
Trust me. wink.gif

Just remember this thing, do not leave any traces that you've opened the heatsink.
Neither traces on the screw nor the card itself.

Do things slowly, then you'll get the best results. smile.gif

You misunderstand something, i'm not a colorful graphic card fan, infact, i'm using BFG & ASUS graphic card.

But in term of Price/Performance ratio, the Colorful 8600GT Ultra Edition beats all 8600GT no matter what brand, and it even beat some 8600GTS. laugh.gif

Galaxy 8600GT OC?
Bleh!

The Core is just 600 while the mem is just 1600 which i highly doubt it can go to what colorful 8600GT Ultra Edition can go. laugh.gif

Galaxy 8600GT OC Specs:
Core Clock: 600MHz
Mem Speed: 1600MHz

Colorful 8600GT Ultra Edition:
Core Clock: 650MHz [Overclockable and stable to 760MHz] [Using the stock HSF only]
Mem Speed: 2000MHz [Overclockable and stable to 2300MHz] [Using the stock HSF only]

Can Galaxy 8600GT OC do the same thing as what the Colorful 8600GT UE can do?
I don't think so. tongue.gif

lalalele, you must understand something, the Colorful 8600GT Ultra Edition is actually the same as any other 8600GTS.
The specs, the PCB, everything is the same as any other 8600GTS.

That's why the Colorful 8600GT Ultra Edition can fight with any 8600GTS head to head and sometime, can even beat 8600GTS'es. laugh.gif

So, why bother buying a Galaxy 8600GT OC at RM485 when u can get an 8600GTS at only RM5XX? [I speak offcourse about the Colorful 8600GT UE. wink.gif ]

p/s: can get this card from the bulk, but have to order 1st.

hahaha sorry bro.. tengah pening2 rclxub.gif

Yeah, but then, look at the 8600GE.
The core clock is 630MHz, which i doubt can perform at 760MHz using only the stock HSF like the Colorful 8600GT UE.

The Colorful 8600GT UE stock HSF is very large, larger than any 8600GT or 8600GE [Except for XFX Fatali1ty Silent Heatsink Which Is Crap.].
The Colorful 8600GT UE stock HSF is so large, it uses two slots, where it is the same like all nvidia 8800 & ATI X2900XT.

That's why i can push the Colorful 8600GT UE up to 760MHz using only the stock HSF. wink.gif

Most Silent GC are not able to cope with the heat generated unless you really have a good casing airflow etc. I do recommend going with those that comes with a fan. Otherwise, if you dont OC, i guess silent ones will be fine..
*
OC or not OC, it doesn't matter.
You have to know something about our climate and the climate the card is manufactured and engineered.

Those silent GC's is not made for our hot climate, so don't expect it to perform at the best with silent HSF.

Rather than wasting your money on getting a 3rd party aftermarket heatsink, why don't you go with something reliable?

Something that is affordable, yet it can beat some higher models.
You speak of 8600GT correct? Then i'm speaking of Colorful 8600GT Ultra Edition.
An 8600GT that uses a very good heatsink and it can beat any 8600GTS anytime.
Yet, the price is just around 8600GT OC that you find at LYP. smile.gif

Well, im asking because i was thinking getting it for my brother, and you are the one selling it here, not to mention, you keep saying how good they are..

So, before getting it, of course i wanna find out more abt it, so why can't i ask the questions refering to yer card, considering ur selling it.

Like when u said "stock" and u gotten 51'c, ppl will think thats normal temp. but its actually u put additional fan on top of the card. And abt the 3Dmark06, weird that u didnt use its default settings. Sorry to say this, but that sounds like yer trying to "sell" yer card a little too "hard".

And ,don't u guys think that sHawTY 'bragging' abt his card a little too much?..
*
Buying for your brother? laugh.gif

I said stock heatsink, what part of nay doesn't thou understand?
And how many times do i have to repeat about the sidepanel fan thingie?

Do you have a problem reading english boy?

Well well well, you seem like won't stop telling others about my 3DMark06 mistake ehh?
What are you?

I already admit my 3DMark06 mistake, what else you want me to say?
And i was right about you will reply my last post.

Hey, i have a new nickname for ya, 3DMark06 Boy.
Yeah, that's good for you.

I have an idea, why don't you put my 3DMark06 mistake in yer signature?
That'll show all forumers about my mistake.

Me bragging?
Yes i am, go find an 8600GT that can fight with the Colorful 8600GT Ultra Edition, find one that can fight with it using only stock heatsink, if you can, i'll give you 10 units of Colorful 8600GT Ultra Edition.

Fight with me on your 8600GT one to one in my room, see either you can proof me just bragging without proof. smile.gif
I have the rights the brag about it, why?
Because it's the best Nvidia 8600GT Card that you can find in "Malaysian" market.

I know you may reply this post again, and i'm waiting for it.
Let's see what else you've got to say. smile.gif
