Hi shawty,

My graphic card is Asus nVidia 8600GT 256MB DDR3 (Engine clock: 540MHz; Memory clock: 1.4GHz (700MHz DDR3). (http://www.asus.com.tw/products4.aspx?modelmenu=2&model=1627&l1=2&l2=6&l3=514&l4=0)

Hope you all can give me some advices of how to solve the blue screen of dead.

Regards: Tony

This is your graphic card?
user posted image

Hmm.
There's three reason that i could think off.
[It may be wrong, as this is my opinion only]

1) Your psu isn't stable enough.
2) The driver u're using right now isn't stable with your system.
3) The grahic card itself is damaged before you're using it.

What you can do now is:

1) Try plugging it in another PC.
or
2) Try using the newest driver

If both doesn't work, then you might have one damaged graphic card.

CM , ACbel no good ?? Their Price also not low la...

So, what si ur recommend ??
*
The price not low because most mainstream users doesn't even bother to read articles about PSU's. smile.gif

I'm with sniper, if i were to get CM or Acbel for free [lets say a prize from a competition] i'll just sell it back at half price.
It's crap i tell you, if no one wants to buy it, i'll just use it to run my watercooling kit and some fans. laugh.gif

To power up my system?
HELL NO! :crappy:

Don't put in your mind that expensive PSU's are good, but don't put in your mind that cheap psu are good either. laugh.gif

You just have to know which one to choose.
To avoid from being fooled by the shop or by the product itself, read up some articles.

Not reviews, read articles.

Want more information about PSU's, go to the link below and read every single articles i've posted in the link below:

So the max oc differ around 600 3dmark06 between OE and UE. Wonder what if translate to real world gaming. Not worth for UE since the price is RM120 more and the performance only around 3~5%.
*
Duhh, it's in the same series, what are you expecting a thousand points of differences?

Rather then spending an extra RM150 - RM300 for a 8600GTS that won't score more, which one will you choose?
Think about the price / performance ratio of Colorful 8600GT UE & retail 8600GTS.

The Colorful 8600GT UE performs at the same level or yet, better than some GTS but with a RM150 - RM300 cheaper than most retail GTS.
That's what you should think about, not compare between 8600GT OC & 8600GT UE. doh.gif

One thing for sure, the Colorful 8600GT UE won't be beaten easily by any retail 8600GTS, but, with a RM150 - RM300 cheaper than most retail 8600GTS. Think about that. smile.gif

8600GT UE seems to be quite performing

Do take note that the new revision of Colorful 8600GT Ultra Edition comes in Dual Bios which made mADmAN upset because his Colorful 8600GT Ultra Edition doesn't come with the dual bios. laugh.gif

There are no modded bios for 8600 around right? So kinda useless.
Few people would wanna change the ram timings and re-flash the bios for this card
*
Not true.
Your 8600GT Ultra can be reflashed into 8600GTS and runs perfectly on 8600GTS bios.

You just have to know where to find it.
But beware, i'm not responsible if anything happen. laugh.gif
