yep, same goes to my EVGA 8800gts, runnin on 1350MHz. When i oc it, it goes up to 1512MHz. Hard locked there though..

btw, it's kinda weird you scoring 1.0. probably it's because you din't install any drivers..
*
Yes, still without any driver. But my 7300GT without driver is also detected as 3.8 last time..LOL...

Anyway, how did you OC your shader processor and whats your idle/load temperature?

My hands are starting to itch and OC the card but the sudden rise in idle temperature from normal 58c to 63 - 64c makes me worried that i might have temperature problem. Need to get a side panel fan first.

well, when you oc your core/mem, the shader proc increases as well. My temp is always high, around 69c idle, load goes 75c.

but afaik, many ppl said that the temp for 8800gts is still in good range.. as long as it don't go higher than 85c, it shouldn't be able to damage the gc.

btw, your 63-64c temp, is it the gpu diode temp?
*
Well, i checked using NTune though and its stating 63c. I still remember my PC Wizard also stating GPU Diode as 63c though..

If the temperature below 85c is considered ok, then i am fine with it and maybe will try some OCing when i am free.

so u bought the MSI card after all ? hehe i'm using the latest official forceware available from their website for vista....and my score is 3.x , definately not 1.0
*
LOL..Yea, i bought it last month from someone here. Too hard to resist this card. Anyway, i will try it with the latest driver and see how it goes. How does Vista judge the card score anyway?Cause i am also getting 3.X for my 7300GT as well..LOL..

i am.....seems fine to me...

i tried changing my fanspeed to 100% thru rivatuner and it did ask me to reboot...but i chose not to la and change it anyway. ok only.

now i set my fanspeed to auto adjust according to temp using rivatuner.
*
Gosh, i am having trouble with rivatuner and speedfan as well. Tried to change the fan speed to full, screen went blank in 2 minutes. Needed to reboot in order to solve the problem..Is this by any means a problem with the card?

Guys, recently my fren told me bout the problem im facing (the graphic corrupt during game play), its called artifacts, my fren say had to RMA, but if RMA, my comp will be useless. =\

The pic i uploaded is when i'm going to log in to WoW, the artifacts occur.
*
Hm..Definitely Artifacts problem. Do you OC the GC?I think you will need to RMA the card. There is no other choice..

is there any noticeable difference when using aquatank version??ya the temp is what i mean....heard some forumers said that the difference not that overwhelming...
*
Asus themselves claim that it dropped about 12c using the Aquatank version but maybe those people that own them might give a review on it. Anyway, for that price, i will grab the Ultra at any time..

Not sure how much is the comparison between the XXX and the Ultra edition but looking at the core/memory speed, i guess the Ultra should be better. For now, the best deal would be the Ultra OC from Colorful or maybe the Galaxy 8600GE if you can find it.

LOL..I tried that on my casing. Running without side panel and gosh, my GC was covered with dust in a week or two. Heck, even with filter now, my front panel filter is completely covered in dust in a mere 2 weeks..

UT2004... pretty old game... not really a game to test on.. tongue.gif

Anywayz, i guess for a 320MB will be juz nice for resolution (20"-22" lcd monitor size) 1680x1050, anything higher than that which its (24" lcd monitor size) 1920x1200 will be more suitable for a 640MB ones.
Yea, imo as long yer temp. not higher than 85'c, u shld be alrite.

Anywayz, i juz did a "stress" test to my card using rthdribl v.1.2, which u can see yer highest temp. when running on that demo. I heard even games doesn't even stress a card like tat.. lol

Btw, i gotten 79'c at 30'c room temp.

user posted image

If those wanna try it, free download it as below :-
http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/rthdribl/
Imo, this stress demo good for those wanna o/c to the max and see how stable after overclocked.

Cheers smile.gif

Wow..Your Ntune can detect CPU temp as well? Why mine cant?LOL...Anyway, idling wise on a poor ventilation room without aircon, my card is always on 63c now. After turning on the PC for roughly 1 - 2 days, it shoot up to 65 - 67c before as well..Cant predict the load though. Maybe i should give the software a try..

QUOTE(skylinegtr34rule4life @ Jul 12 2007, 10:31 PM)
thks...so i guess 320mb 88gts is more worth it than 640mb if i get 22" n below lcd...finally i can save the extra 500-600 for other stuff rclxm9.gif
*
Better go with the 320MB version if you are on anything lower than 24". 1600 * 1050 should be perfectly fine for the 320MB 8800GTS...

@TomatomanzSeedlezz,

Yea, my Ntune cant detect the CPU temperature. It only shows the GC temperature. I will test the demo later tonight to see how high it goes.. Gosh, better not be too high..

Anyway, regarding the price, i thought XFX 8600GT price is still higher than other brands? The last time i check, it is still around RM500+ for the normal version and only about RM450+ for the GALAXY OC edition? I would rather go for the Ultra edition instead of all those though..

Just wondering, since the 8800GTS 320MB is already this hot -> 60c for me during Idle, how much is the temperature for the GTX and Ultra?

Well, i know that it is not harmful even at 80c for the card but damn, its making my room damn hot and if one day i decided to let go of the card, the main reason would be the heat...

Well, any recommendation (except changing HSF) on what to do to lower the temperature of the card?Changing TIM would help?

I was planning a Side Panel Fan for it but need to wait for it from ATE. Other than that, i have no idea what to do, and coupled with my NB and SB chipset cooler facing the fan of my 8800, its really as hot as hell currently though..

if you put it permanently 60%, when you use graphic intensive program/games, your graphic card will shut down.

Well, i realise this problem with my card as well. As off now after turning on my PC for roughly 2 days + without turning it off, temperature of the card jumped from 58c to 66c on idle. rclxub.gif ..
